  1. 39deg when I left the house. Up in a stand on the corner of my wood lot. First hunt on this property of the year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Daughter and I are in the blind out back, hoping for a big doe. Hoping I don’t see one of the better bucks I have let go because don’t think I could resist with her with me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Am I the only one out this morning? Foggy and quiet on the eastern front. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Woke up and it was pouring, got back in bed and it felt great! 10straight days of 2 sits a day has tired me out. Hopefully it clears up for an evening sir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Tape a sheet of paper on the back of the target not the front, they fold back so your entry won’t be fully deployed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just let a huge bodied 5 go, probably 18”’s inside spread with a crotch on one side and 3pts on the other. Probably a 4 yr old buck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That’s the exact reason why I chose a career that I wouldn’t have to work a single day during deer season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What a slow morning, 1 deer went through in the dark. It is frigging perfect weather! If I his was Nov1 the deer would be dropping like flies! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. 3 so far, only one in range was a 2yr old 6 that I’ve now passed 3 times this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. No, 760 and 7600 are different and neither matches the 336 pattern. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Small buck and a yote that wouldn’t slow down. Up to 5 bucks that I’ve let go so far this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I’ll be totally honest the odds of me ever shooting another buck with a bow in NY is very very low, going into late muzzleloader last year without a buck tag really sucked! It also really affected the way I gun hunted the regular season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Does to me, I enjoy hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Too early to fill a buck tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yea, and I have 2 more months of vacation, too early to fill a buck tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Just passed a real nice 7 at 20yds, best buck I’ve seen on our farm in 5 or 6 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Perfect, thanks Henry’s use the same pattern as a 336. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’m not an expert on deer behavior or an expert shot but I’m nearing 50 deer killed with a bow and from my experience deer duck at the sound of a bow more at closer ranges than they do at 40 or 50 yds. My theory is that the sound is further away and they don’t think it’s an immediate threat but that’s just a theory from my experience.I would rather shoot a feeding or distracted deer at 50 than an alert deer at 25. I’ve shot deer at 50 and beyond and will continue to do so. In the end it boils down to the one releasing the arrow is you’re not comfortable don’t do it, you’re the one that’s gotta look at yourself in the mirror afterwards. 19. Do you have that part number? I’m looking for one of those for my 44mag Henry? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. 9 all together, only buck had buttons Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Lol, he’s shooting deer not X’s on a piece of paper. Rachunter, that looks like you’re on the right track. Now screw that knurled part on the butt end of the aperture and throw that in the garbage you’ll never use it or need it. I even go a step further and drill it out a little bit on all mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Been hiking around in the dacks with a bow the last few days at home in a blind for a quick afternoon hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. You want the peep as close to your eye as possible. Should hold 2-3” at 100yds. Put a big cross with tape on the target so you can hold the same spot while sighting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Yup, same way. Unless they had a very good excuse “I.e. dead” they would never be able to step foot in the prison again if they screwed someone on a swap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. It’s all voluntary, it’s the reason I took the job, it’s really not bad at all knowing every day I work a 16 is a day off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
