11/1 pm 40's Hit the field edge pine for the last hour. Once daylight savings hits I will hit this stand a bit more since it is just 50 feet off the lawn and in and out with no disturbing. I can slip in for a quick last hour hunt. The deer have been cutting through here quite a bit and there is a scrape being kept fresh. I did have the wind knock down a big old dead pine on the prop line cut. I will need to cut that out of there before gun. All I did is sit for an hour and get my gear wet lol.

I can't seem to catch one with enough light to take a shot. Believe me if I get the chance...

Upper management over multiple manufacturing facilities across the eastern half of the country. Over 30 years in and started as a machine operator way back when. I have put in enough time that I can usually be pretty flexible around hunting season. I am on call 24-7 though. I have done more than one conference call from the tree! Just a word of wisdom to the job seeker above. You spend a great portion of your life at a job, most of us anyway. Your life will be a lot more enjoyable if you enjoy your work. If you want to be an officer or fireman do it. Learn to be an electrician why you wait. That will always give you a backup skill to fall back on as well as a comodity to trade for say other work, hunting rights.......

Hard to put to scale based on the pic, he is not real old. I would shoot him it makes it a lot easier to weigh and score!

ima slip into the edge stand in about 30-40 minutes. Its 20 steps off the lawn and the spot to be at 5:37pm tonight. I'm making that 5:37 bit up but I am going down and rifle through the kids Halloween candy for a Fireball!! So all bets are off!!

Is the paper from last year fine or do you need to redo each year? I will be out with my son and he will have the crossbow.

11/1/17 am 34 Out back in the far stand for 2 hours. I jumped some deer about 150 yards from my stand going in. Crap hate that. Got set up and had a couple somethings walk under me. Just the way they sounded I think yotes. It was a real nice morn but zip. Pulled far cam on way out. See that a big ole pine came down across my prop line trail. I grabbed the saw and went back in for a few just to open up around the edge. The cam had 4-5 different young bucks and some does. Lots of yotes, a fox.....nothing big. Have not seen any of the big ones on cam for a while.

Been at this house for 17 years not a treater yet. The first year I had candy ready. The next few just put a whole bag on the front porch. Figured if any kid had the drive to hike all the way up the drive could have it all lol. In a small town out side of town. 34 here calm Was just thinking walking in I have been pretty lucky not jumping any on way in this season. Yup jumped a group of them about 150 yards from stand every which way. Get set up and and 2 something go under me. Pretty sure yotes from the way they moved. Now hoping for one of those I jumped was a hot doe and left her scent all over here! 10/31 am 40 In the outer hole stand for two hours. It was chilly wth the wind. Has a spike way out go by then when I turned around to keep watching I saw another move and prance away.
