Nice Sunday morning. Hope to get out another time or two before bow. Have not been out much at all this year. One of these days I'll learn to fish the river. I keep all my stuff washed with non scented UV free detergent and it hangs in my sports den/ office/ hunting room all year. I cycle out base layers regularily and don't wear anything into a gas station or store.....boots included. I hunt just about all locations that border houses and such and I believe you get a touch more leeway. Now if I'm hunting the big woods I tend to be more careful.

Not the Under Armour one. I bought one in a pinch and it fell apart quick. They did send me a replacement no charge but I don't use it. Trying new one this year. I had one from the outdoor show that was pretty decent before that. Not a brand name it was basically home made.

Yes a youth hunter may use a crossbow in the same season as all of us can. And no they do not need a bow course as it is a muzzleloader in NY! Just need a muzzleloader stamp and the online training card. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/68802.html

East NC, east and south of Raleigh. Lodge, meals, 200 stands.....this one is a relax and enjoy and get the boy his first deer or two or three....farm country.

Well I got out this past weekend to the hole stands and did some serious trail cleaning. Lots of trees down to chainsaw and since I skipped last year I had two years worth. I just have to hang some camo burlap, cheap compliments of Gander closeout, up in the tower to break up some windows. Then do a last trail clear and mow out back and I am set to go. Just bought my and my sons North Carolina licences. We leave Oct.4th or 5th for a muzzleloader whitetail hunt.

This only applies to the newer trucks but I'm pretty sure if you put a rust preventative on a new truck it voids some of the waranty. Now if your past waranty it really does not matter. If I am misled on that please correct me.

I'm testing these now myself. I did the same went all out of 4 for $1.99 each from Gander. If they work I will have wished I bought a bunch. They had hundreds which is why I was hesitent lol.

Not in this spot. I have rarely had a quality buck show up regularily. Now a mile across town in my second spot I usually have one or two pop up on cam occasionally. .

I did not read the whole thread but to the OP.... I would stop back at some point with some home made cookies or brownies, I would also bring up they said they had a handyman and say hey I'd be more than willing to try to tackle some jobs for you for letting me hunt.....instead of you paying a handyman..? Who knows. -
ouch that sucks, hope everyone is ok!! I'm on my third GMC/Chevy truck in a row. Best bang for the buck in my mind. Both Chevy and Ford have good trucks. You can still get one made on a hungover Monday morning from any make. Get what you like and can afford.

You start seeing the best rebates in the fall when the new models start coming in. It used to be October or so but it seems the new models are coming out earlier than ever. I'd never buy a new vehicle from the current year in the first half of the year, wait for the end of year rebates.
