  7. I gotta give props to the Lifeproof. I sent mine down the highway at 70mph and just a couple scratches. A few weeks later I put it through the washing machine and no moisture in the case. Phone still just fine. Mine has paid for itself many times over!!
  8. All 4 of our deer taken were woods. We do not have access to hunting areas with fields except state land. And deer pretty much only hit those at night. I shoulda married a farmers daughter!
  9. I notice it does not say secret recipe!! Please share I love veison soups and stews!! And pics are great! TY
  10. Well at least he dose not have a yote problem.
  11. I have never removed a sling. I use it as others above to steady my shot.
  12. I would say yes it will make you a better hunter. The others have given great input on that. Your next sentence after the title seems to ask more if you are successful or if your hurting yourself or your experience?? To that I would answer if you are hunting for food then no you are not succesful. If you are hunting for the experience and are happy then absolutuely you are successful. We each must define what we expect out of this. To some it is a leisure hobby, others a chore like livestock, to some adventure, many for excercise and the great outdoors and then the super obsessed. You can probably answer that better than us!
  13. So the season was fair as I did harvest one buck with the crossbow and a doe in gun season with the ML. My brother got the one buck in bow and my nephew a button on the gun opener. I am disappinted in myself for not getting my son on his first deer. We were darn close a few times. I now reaize it is a bunch harder to see deer with two hunters together than just me!! I will be better prepared next season. That youth season non elevated rule is just stupid! We also need to find some new places to hunt. Maybe a lease. We have lost 2 good spots and I may lose my favorite stand on my neighbors as well due to sale. I already told my son we were going on a guided hunt next year as well so we need to plan that. And I plan on getting a GA gator tag as too,I am looking forward to that. Hope you all have a great Holiday Season!!!
  14. Well thats a wrap. I sat 4 hours in 7 dgree to 17 this morn. Hit some state land middle of the day and followed some tracks but the snow was too loud. Then back in stand for last watch. It was a real nice evening and as usual I am bummed about the season coming to an end but excited to get some sleep and not sit in the cold!!
  15. Well done buddy!! You had a good deer season! Now have a great holiday season!!.
  16. Way to go Eddie!! I know where to head when my freezer runs out!! Have a great Holiday and enjoy the fruits of your season!!

  19. Went down the road to 3 Rivers and burnt some boot sole. Was following a buck track then two but it was so loud and getting thicker and I'm like this is stupid I'll never get close enough unless the deer has no ears! Lol. Filling the thermos back up and putting the layers back on and headed back to the far stand for that sad last watch of the year. I been hunting this stand today due to it may be the last time I hunt it. The lands up for sale and too steep for me and I guess another offer is in so I could lose this 27 acres that borders mine. Very sad I've spent a lotta time on this watch and killed some nice deer. I'll be smiling a lot this evening remembering old hunts here. Good luck all on the finali' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
