  4. O sorry thought you were one of the Letchworth guys...where else is there AR's on stateland Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. Letchworth doesn't count as its not average Joe ground lol. Takes alot to hunt there IMO And can't hunt doe for meat everywhere. No doe tags where I live in travel long ways to hunt doe Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  6. I double that with anyone on the state land and consistently take 6 or betters . Majority pro AR hunt private land Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  7. My buddy shot a big buck this bow season hit square in azz cheek killed it in feet. Hit the main artery. I hit one way back this season maybe 6 in in front of rear quarter killed in on 20 yards hit the artery also. While the Texas style isn't a good shot, close range with a gun I take it to. Bc I'm confident that inside 50 yards I can hit the bull every shot especially with a scoped rifle on a good rest. The Shockwave alone thru the deer would probably kill it I imagine. 13. Use a balloon over the barrel also doubles as a stay for ramrod. I keep a few in my pocket with extra shots and replace after shot. I have hunted thru rain and snow for 2 years now never a issue with balloon method and never had issue with primer spot getting wet. And when I say rain I mean adks early bear hunting monsoon weather not 1 hiccup and I didn't even change rounds for SZ opener. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. O idk where is is.. BTW at 50 yards I'd take that shot too. And for some of the guys who chase specific bucks all year if that specific buck stood there and that was the shot I don't think many would pass it. 50 yards is a chip shot with a rifle. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. Rifle ends the 4th and only some areas have late muzzle season. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  16. The season is almost over in the adks..i think it ends this weekend Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  17. I do same thing with my kid except with a pumped bb gun with no bb. That way if he pulls trigger I hear it but nothing comes out. 1 mistake I take it away for day and we try again next time. He's very very good with it now. Now he gets the bb in the chamber been doing it sence he was 4 he is now 6. Funniest thing ever was watching him try to shoot chipmunks with no bb...he'd get so mad when he always missed Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. It's a shooter. I love it haven't carried any other gun sence I bought it Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. Or a walk...I've shot alot of then walking Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. I've been still hunting public land for 15 years did it opening day with 22 cars on hill. Did it thanksgiving and Friday with a bunch of cars. Did it sat and sunday with a few other cars and killed a deer doing in and saw many others. Not once did I shoot an unsafe direction or get shot it. Again you can not blame the masses it was a few individuals making poor decisions and shots that ended tragically. I'm not going to change my preffered hunting method just bc a few people out there were dumb. Quick story from sat with my dad Tughill and his sons We were hunting stateland 8n and when we showed up a minivan full of Mennonite teens piled out to push the hill. I went and talked to them and we had 0 issues. (Not the story) So anyway come right before lunch I decided I would push the thicket up hill to the guys. There were people everywhere Everytime I turned around another guy was standing there. Just about the time I was making way to dad I jum0ed 2 big doe. The were hauling I put scope on them (50 cal) and decided not a good angle and let them run. After watching them bound thru the woods I took 10 more steps up the knoll and poof there was my dad directly in front of me by maybe 50 yards. He saw them too. And also pulled up and decided not to shoot bc of angle with his 12 g slug gun. He had no idea I was there and neither did I but bc we are hunters as 99.9 percent of guys are we choose not to shoot. And luckily we didn't even tho we wouldn't have been shooting toward eachother it just wasn't a good choice. We laughed about it later. 99.9 percent of the pumpkin army that walks into the woods has not and will not ever shoot anyone just like criminals and guns. It's not something we can control and not something we need to be overly paranoid about. We all need to just preach to our group and our kids gun saftey and door our part to pass the tradition along and as safe as we can. There will always be the possibility of getting shot out there can't change that. Do your part educate when you can and please WEAR ORANGE. I spoke to 3 different guys thanksgiving day that were in full camo and gave them a line of s&=* bc they had no orange on. They could care less. Hopefully manditory orange is coming. 21. Well forgot to put in here so here it goes. Thanksgiving day I had my 13 yr old cuz with me as me dad uncle and 2 cuz went out on stateland. I'm not much of a sitter durring gun as I spend plenty of seat time durring archery. Well about 10 or so we were going to still hunt thru a spot I know they bed down in. After about 3 steps into the thicket 2 doe jumped up and worked their way away from us. Not having a clear shot and wanting them to go uphill instead of down we backed out and went to the edge of bench. I looked down and saw them working thru some down logs. I leaned on tree and put x hairs on the opening. When 2nd doe stepped in I let it fly. 50 cal cva wolf konus scope put the shot thru the heart at a Lil over 200. As I was trying to reload the cuz said he only seen on and I had missed lol...I told him it was bc the other was dead. We walked down and it was a murder scene blood red path for her 20 yard dash. We marked our spot with a broken branch and walked down to find her. Got to walk him thru gutting. His first start to finish hunt. Pretty cool...only about 75lbs but she will eat excellent. 22. I pray for snow 5 to 10 inches. Also hope for sunny days. The deer (where I hunt) are almost always on the sun facing side of the hill eating. Other than that I still hunt. Till I find them Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. Heart shot 50 cal over 200 yards Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. I'll be honest shot one thanksgiving day maybe went 75lbs dressed. But was a long ways away. With a bunch of tags in my pocket I'd take her again. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. 200 yard gun all day I'm confident to 250 Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
