Wife's co-worker fell out of a tree yesterday setting up a stand
stoneam2006 replied to Core's topic in General Hunting
You are more likely to die in your car than you are on a bike. Especially in NY as we only get to ride a few months a year. So statistically car accidents cause more deaths than bikes do here. I'm sorry if I offended you but I am a born and raised bike guy as my son is. 2 wheels is a life not a choice. If you can choose to walk away the life wasn't for you. Again no disrespect we can agree to disagree on this. I'm sure I'm not your age as I'm probably one of the younger guys here. I'm getting better about a harness and always wear in my climber. Hope you have a good season. 2 weeks and a day hopefully we are reading each other's harvest threads Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk Edit....you are not more likely to die in your car but are more likely to crash which could lead to death 2014 4750 motorcycle crashes 3.3 percent fatality rate 142 fatalitys 299k car crashes .4 percent fatality 966 fatalitys -

Not to distract from thread but without 2 wheels in my life I'd be lost its my absolute favorite thing to do I grew up on them and will grow old on them. I couldn't give it up its a part of me it's a part of my soul Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -

If you can give up riding that easy your not a biker I'm sorry...I will ride till I die and if I die while riding at least I'll be smiling....and my family knows that. I wear a harness sometimes been getting better about it over the years Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -

I no pulled up behind a olean police officer at a stoplight in town last summer. Noticed his keys sitting on trunk lid so of course I started waving and honked one time to get his attn. He got out of car and was very very cautious hamd on gun walking toward me. Window was down so I had hand on wheel and 1 out window pointed at his keys and yelled to him. He came over shook my hand and thanked me...I bet his heart was pumping lol Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -

I was having peep problems...ended up getting string scilencer installed that I can move up and down as strings strech and it twists a little bit....also had a new d loop tied as it wasn't pulling string straight and was rotating...no issues so far that was probably 100 shots ago Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Speedy recovery to the guy....setting up stands is probably one of the most dangerous things we do as hunters. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -

If we're me I'd move a branch from same tree down...I know I've read about guys taking parts of other licking branches and zip tying them to branch above so they hang down. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I'll tell yea few weeks back we were flying to greenville sc to get sister amd drive to moutri from there flight from roc flight got delayed were gonna miss connection flight in Philly southwest ended up getting us on a delta flight to Atlanta...I thought that was top notch customer service....the rental car place on the other hand sucked service sucked and they didn't even have records of us calling to change pickup location....needless to say after a call to hq they paid for our rental car for the weekend...that cost us 2 hrs standing in Atlanta trying to figure out where our car was Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
