Bugs can be very cool. But only if they stay out of my house.

I believe the file frame/holder is the same. You just use different size files for different chain sizes. The files are only a couple of bucks each. I used the same holder for everything from the Pico chain on the 180 to the 3/8" skip-tooth on the 460. No problem my friend. Just bustin' on ya ;-) I'm out of likes already this morning, so I wrote a "like" instead.

I noticed she tied her hair back like I suggested to her. I wonder if she had a little incident with a frayed stick.
-
Out of likes for the day, but here's my like.
-
One of the things I really like about her is that she's not all inked up and doesn't wear nail gun accidents in her lips, nose, or eyebrows. To me that's a sign of intelligence. To those of you who wear that stuff and revel in it. F^^^ you. It's stupid and it's especially stupid on a young lady. Rant over.

I watched her Sultans of Swing cover just the other day.
-
One of the classic British bands from back in the day. The Who, The Stones, Zeppelin, the Yardbirds...
-
No offense Eddie, but as soon as you call a chain a "blade", you're out.

That 260 was only a week old when I took that photo. Hadn't been dropped from a tree, fallen off the tractor, or been run over by the the truck. Still hasn't been run over by the truck, but the other events have happened. My favorite saw by a long shot. I gave it to my brother because my body doesn't allow me to do that kind of stuff any more. FWIW I used to climb trees with a saw just like it.
-
Sharpening saw chains is a bit like reloading ammo. There's a bit of therapeutic value in it. Just my two cents.
-
You fill the fuel tank and the bar oil tank and touch up the chain. Less than ten minutes. Then you get to work. It's not rocket science.
-
You need a guide/file holder and the correct size file. There really isn't much more to it than that. The one thing I would never do is subject a chain to any sort of motorized sharpening device. They cook the chain teeth and take the temper and durability right out of them. It takes three or four minutes to touch up a chain with a hand-held file. Lots of youtube videos about it. It's not hard.

My brother is doing the Mother's Day lunch this year. Chicken, salt potatoes, and asparagus. He's a pretty good cook, but I like my grilled chicken with bones and skin. He doesn't do it that way.

1000 guns confiscated from home in CA
philoshop replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
And I'll be criticized for having reloading equipment. "Oh my god, he was actually able to make his own ammo?" A friend in Iowa had to leave the property he thought he had purchased after twenty years on a rent-to-own agreement. The old guy died and his son told my friend to get off the property. Nothing fair about it. My buddy made three trips with his full-size pickup just to get the ammo out of his house. -

A friend of mine died about 40 years ago with well over 2000 guns in his house. Many were brand new in the box with the original grease paper. It was his hobby. He had one of the most extensive collections of pre-'64 Winchesters in the country. It wasn't even an issue then because people weren't nearly as stupid and knee-jerk about such things back then. The only thing Paul actually shot was old military stuff, mainly Japanese arms. -
Let's not forget this young gal on her wedding day:
-
She does a great job on Henry Mancini's Pink Panther theme song as well. She does drum clinics and whatnot, so I don't think she's just a parrot. It's obvious that she's enjoying herself and that she's very relaxed. Always a smile on her face. ;-)
-
Sina-drums. Lots of good stuff.
-
And vice versa. I've played in a couple of bands where the bass player was a guitar player with a bass guitar. That doesn't usually work. I've watched several dozens of her videos recently. ZZ Top, The Who, lots of stuff I don't know. She's a pretty amazing young gal.
-
This is not my favorite tune by a long shot, but this young gal just nails it. She has dozens of drum cover videos to her credit and they all just smoke. I played for well over 50 years and taught for several years. I don't ever remember seeing anyone with the comfort and confidence of this young lady. I've exchanged e-mails with her and she is amazing. The only tip I gave her was to keep her hair tied back because a broken or frayed stick that snags it will end the song. She laughed. ;-)

You've already made the purchase, so enjoy the new machine! I would only recommend that you might want to buy locally next time. The $100 you saved on mail-order was the warranty that a local dealer was offering without mention. "If there's a problem, bring it back and we'll fix it for ya". Just life advice from an old guy who's worked with a lot of tools his whole life.

All the best to both of you today and every day!!
