Safe act part 2
NeverSeenNorHeard replied to hunter49's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Rob Astorino is on LI today. Hope he can rally some downstate support. In gynecology speak, Albany needs a D&C! -
It's a shame people like that exist. They will all get theirs one day.

Grain size for the 30-06
NeverSeenNorHeard replied to DirtyDan's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Use whatever makes you and your gun happy. Whatever you choose to put in an 06 is gonna kill a deer no problem... As long as it's not a blank... -
Thanks guys! I appreciate the help.

Physics is a passion of mine but I've got nothing for you on string theory!

So I have a piece of land that just opened up to me. I will probably hunt it a handful of times a year for mainly predators but will sit for deer once in a while. The elderly landowner says he just wants someone to use the land. He said I could hang stands etc... He also said the land is heavily traveled & hunted by trespassers. He has insurance on the land to protect himself from one of these clowns getting hurt etc... My question is if I hang a stand and one of these trespassing goons falls out and gets hurt who is liable, the landowner, or the person who hung the stand? Assume the landowner goes "that's not my stand, it's his". Should I get insurance as well? If so, do you have any suggestions on companies? Thanks!

Jees, some of you eat better in the stand than I eat back at camp! It's like a friggin buffet in your packs! Bunch of weenies! JK

I think it's a great idea if the terrain is groomed and your spot is accessible via bike. Only thing is you will be dragging two things back with you if your lucky... your deer and the bike. Unless your a total beast and can tow the deer behind you then your in luck... Go NYR!

Kept a doe in range with some light grunts last season. She showed up 10 minutes before shooting time. Every time she began to wander I hit her with a grunt and she stopped and looked around. Once the sun was "officially up", it was a wrap.

Is Cuomo running unopposed?
NeverSeenNorHeard replied to Doc's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I hope he can do it. You need to donate some cash, even if it's 5 bucks! -
Now your thinking...Least damage to the pelt, in the back door out the front...

he's definitely, without question, possibly, but most likely, blind in his brown eye.... Duh

OK to share? Safe act Question
NeverSeenNorHeard replied to NeverSeenNorHeard's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Thanks! -
I haven't read the entire act and apologize if this has been covered but here's my question. If I go to shoot some clays and bring a friend (non gun owner), can that friend shoot my shotgun as well, or am I in violation of the law? Thanks!

I only do with steak tartar when I go to a nice french restaurant. I had the best in Montreal. It was a giant mound of meat with a raw quail egg on top. No room for desert! Not sure where you are getting the meat but if its a grocery store I would think twice about eating it. You never know what could be lurking in their "well cleaned" grinder...

Wow! Repeat after me "Thank you dear! I love HUNTING for antiques at flea markets". Now, I don't mean to get your hopes up but maybe she is well aware of the beginning of the season, only she has booked you an awesome guided hunt....
