  1. Wait a second.... You mean you don't rock these in the deer woods? http://www.flat-d.com/charcoal-underwear.html
  2. My father is going to miss the last weekend of Turkey season because of some business he must take care of in Rochester, hours away from his land. Are there any good public hunting opportunities in the Rochester area? I did some research on Letchworth State Park, however, there is some type of permit application and lottery to hunt the area........ He would probably be willing to drive a bit to make it happen. Thanks!
  3. Toms & Jakes are gobbling in 4, roosting trees found, fly-down directions observed, spots cleared. Ready for opening morning!
  4. The old man had a few in the shed. Took them to my place for "the treatment". I also have an older PLUMB axe in a rockaway pattern (pretty impressive piece). I love those Swedish axes and would love to pick one up but other things are occupying my disposable income at the moment.
  5. I recently found an old hatchet head in my fathers storage shed. It has really bad patina with some rough pitting. I was able to make out the following "B.x Swift" as the makers mark. I can't find much via google on this hatchet head and was hoping someone would be able to tell me more about the item. I need a new hatchet and wanted to put some effort into a piece providing it was worthy. Thanks in advance!
  6. Looks very nice. I'm a woodworker myself but I spend most time with what other people want, usually exotics.
  7. That's one thing that bothers me about public land. When nature calls you must look around really well!!!
  8. What type of wood / finish do you have there?
  9. My friend is looking for a GOOD SEO and Web Design company for their small service business on Long Island. Any recommendations out there? Thanks in advance!
  10. Here's mine: Play ice hockey twice a week and never be out of breath while hunting/dragging deer again...
  11. What type of hunting is it with the hogs? Is it a high fence canned type hunt, or is more similar to pursuing wild game through the woods, more like traditional deer hunting?
  12. "I don't have the key...sorry" (wallyworld ammo shoppers know what I'm talking about!)
  13. Thanks for all that great information WOLC. Nice buck you got yourself there. You are right about the aesthetics of the area. I think it's a beautiful spot.
  14. Hey all, A friend of mine is interested in purchasing some land in 6N. Looks like a bad place to be a deer hunter with no DMPs available and all... How about the other game? How's it for turkey, partridge, and coyote? They are interested mostly for snowmobiling, hence why they chose the area, however, they are also avid hunters. Anyone have any experience with this area, or could recommend an area close that still gets dumped with show and has access to the snowmobile trail system, but has decent deer population & harvest numbers? Thanks! -NSNH
  15. Then there are the businesses that specialize in inexpensive, yet quality AR's that appear to be booming. Some are floundering yet others are prospering. It's all how you position yourself in a market condition. Easier said than done of course.
