  1. From my Prospective- the Toughest Lands to Hunt without a doubt are- Gun Club Lands. For Pheasants + Wild Turkeys- you have your work cut out for you! So- what Lands do you find are the Toughest to Hunt + Why?
  2. This is going to be Tough for the DEC to enforce. Really only a small Trickle of Turkey Hunters who hunt in the Light Blue area of the map will be aware of the correct- October 21st opening date.
  3. On page 49 of the 2023/24 Regulations Guide covering " Turkey Hunting"- there is a Printing Error and the wrong opening day for the" LIGHT BLUE" area on the Fall Turkey map of New York State. It reads- Oct 15th- 28th. That is the wrong opening day... I just talked to a nice woman up at the DEC Headquarters yesterday about this as,I read about this elsewhere and wanted to confirm it. THE OPENING DAY FOR THE " LIGHT BLUE" AREA ON THE FALL TURKEY NYS MAP IS OCTOBER 21ST. Don't take my word for it- check the Website for the correct opening Date- " 21st" or call the DEC Yourself to confirm.
  4. Don't Forget to get your updated 2023/24 Sterling Forest State Park Hunting Permit.
