  1. Lol and that's after I got shaved 2 days ago. I had about 1/2 inch taken off.Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  2. Hey Larry, I'm about halfway down the east side. I've been scouting/hunting Hi Tor. I've seen a few deer but it gets pressured pretty good. I'm really looking forward to doing some predator hunting after deer season too. Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  3. Sick of looking at my mug every time I open tapatalk so here's a view of canandaigua lake from the deck. Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  4. Yep. Ya pick up less ticks this way!Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk

  6. I'm on baby duty til 10 then I'll try to make something happen. I see I'm not the only one having a crappy season, although I do enjoy every hunt. In the 19 years that I've been hunting big game, this one just might go down in the books as the first year I didn't get any deer( I usually get at least 2-4). I'm loving being a dad to my 11 month old who is #1 above all else, so it goes without saying that my hunting time has taken a drastic cut. Also, taking a new job and moving 2 1/2 hours away in the middle of October didn't help the hunting situation since all I have to hunt up here is state land which I've had to scout-as-I-go. Wegmans might see me in the meat department more than I'd like to be!! Lol But that said, all is well on the home front and I'll be out there today at the closing bell with my rifle in hand. What more could a guy ask for! Let the guns sing today New York!!!! Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk

  8. Oh damn! Sorry! DONT SHOOT! I forgot my TP, could you spare a square?Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  9. I've never brought anything other than my supplies needed for the hunt. If I see a compass anywhere other than the Adirondacks, I laugh. By all means bring whatever makes you feel confident, but going blindly into a place that you could potentially get lost is just plain dumb. With all the satellite imagery these days and 9 months between deer season to scout/prepare, there really shouldn't be much need to go into survival mode. I spend many cold winter nights hunting predators from dusk til dawn, it really isn't that bad. I do however believe that every outdoors person should have good first-aid knowledge! 10. They can be called 24/7. Hunt the thick cover during the day because that's where they'll be. They also like to lay on hillsides in the sun. Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  11. Once deer closes I'll be out for predators Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  12. I had a very nice buck quickly trot through at about 11:00. I did let the .44 bark, but unfortunately I mangled a sapling and the buck got away unharmed. I moved about a mile down the valley in hopes that he tries that again! Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  13. No sightings yet in Italy valley/Middlesex. The .44 is itching to bark! Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  14. Lol sorry guys, I was browsing the site during my lunch break and must've "pocket posted". Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk

  18. Aah the power of camo! Just had a guy stalking through and walked up15 yds directly in front of me looking past me the whole time. Until I pulled my face mask off that is! Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  19. Lol he's a known road leaper, I almost got him last week! Was very calm last night and I could hear deer running around the house all night. Hopefully they're just as active this morning. Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  20. No snow down here, but everything is soggy so it should allow for a quiet walk in this morning. Let me know if ya need help dragging ol'droptine out! Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk

  22. I strongly discourage the consumption of any unidentified fungus Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  23. I hear ya! I'm eating lunch in my wetsuit after swimming/working in Canandaigua lake all morning.Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  24. That's part of the reason why we enter/exit our stands under the cover of darkness; we hope that the deer won't spook very far if they cannot see us. Sent from my LGL16C using Tapatalk
  25. I hunted there this morning, saw only a spike and a doe. I think the cold snap is what we need.
