Cant beat the bars. I cant afford one but have taken several deer with my buddies 300mag bar.
-
I believe that only applies when your hunting on the water, on land i think its still 500ft
-
you will never find them all, even with the best dog in the world.
-
It must have to be a in-store purchase. Just checked internet and couldnt locate any. For 8 bucks I would have bought the whole store out

If gun season is anything like archery, for me anyways, we are in for one hell of a season
-
I have had the same issue as you and many of my friends, buck sign seems to be pretty scarce this year. We found a few rubs, but not as many as previous years. There does seem to be more scrapes then rubs. Fortunately i've seen more bucks then many other years bowhunting thus far.
-
I did leave them on but I have never heard of aligning expandables. And it happened again last night on a buck, another miss with the same whistling. I am cutting arrows tonight and am switching to miniblasters, its getting to close to rifle to be missing. I believe the deer must be ducking the arrows, because if i can hear it perfectly a deer being shot at can too. By the way I'm, strapping the arrows to my hood, If i cant hit the deer im going to have to start running them over

Your correct on the typing issue
-
I would have gave him one more year.
-
Very true, but i must have hit a key or something because when i went over a word and retyped it the words ahead of it were being erased Thank god its fine now
-
Thanks for all the answers guys. i have just started shooting the Rocky Mountain Expandables. I looked over the nock and everythings fine. Now that i think of it there may be a small gap between the shaft and broadhead. When i opened the package the broadhead had a small yellow rubber band on top of the treads I figured you were supposed to tighten them down with the rubber band betwnne the shaft and head. Now that i think of it I never could get teh head to tighten down completely.........that may be the problem And another question my post is riddled with speling errors, but when i go back to fix them, I type and it goes over previosly typed stuff and erases. See I just made more errors and I have no way of fixing them.......this is getting old........

What broadhead do you use for turkeys?
jr.deerslayer replied to RangerClay's topic in Turkey Hunting
Im sure they work, but turkeys are hard enough to hit in the vitals, let alone there baseball size head thats always bobbing. -
Same with anything you plan to hunt. Deer, rabbit, squirrel.
-
Definately not my jacket, but good thought. The whistling was made when i released the arrow all the way down the flightpath untill it struck the ground.
-
i wonder if that is because if it went into the ground the force pushed the band back. ive never seen or heard of the rubber band going back to the fletching on just air passing past the arrow on release. it would have to be forced back that far? That could be, it does seem pretty impossible for a tight fitting o-ring to be driven back that far on air resistance alone.
-
Thats what I'd bet on. I forgot to mention earlier, the o-ring that holds the blades was up near the fletching when I inspected the arrow.
-
That is what I originally thought too. But I did check after the fact, and nothing was wrong or loose with the fletching.

We have a permanent stand built between four trees with the fourth being cut eye level. A few years ago, on opening day of gun season I got into it well before first light and waited for shooting hour. Well first light came and I noticed something on the cut off tree in front of me. I grabbed it and found out it was a rabbit foot. Nothing else just a rabbit foot, just like one you would buy. I figured an owl must have grabbed it and left it on my tree. I got real excited because I figured it must be my lucky day, but found out an hour later it wasent when a missed a big eight point.

On Saturay evening i drew back on a small buck, released the arrow and heard some sort of loud whistling I have never heard before. I missed the buck but could'nt tell why. I shoot expandables and have never heard this before. Could it be the broadhead opened up before hitting the deer? Previously I shot the same arrow with a target tip and never heard anything out of the norm.

Ya the first thing we got to "test" were stickers that were camo that you were supposed to stick on your face instead of a headnet.
-
My father is a member and i've noticed the same thing, sending you pointless coins that you must pay to send back. However i do enjoy the magazine and have tested some decent stuff like a $70 knife sharpener, I even believe my father has been given two nice leather jackets for free. But i believe the second was on accident....not complaining though.

browning maxis shotgun 3.5"
jr.deerslayer replied to jpcon's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I don't own a benelli but have never even heard of them misfiring or not cycling. Alot of my friends own them and they believe there the best thing ever created. For me there alittle out of my price range. -
When you first buy it it smells almost chemically. It imagine it would dissipate after a while though.
