  1. x2 missed a deer a few years ago with a lighted nock ended up hitting a big branch arrow split in two nock flew out of the shaft to god only knows where and never did find it later that night. got to be expensive. The problem with the nocks is they work by friction in the shaft you must push them in to hold them, normally thats not a problem untill you hit something very hard and they fly out.
  2. Exactly..... two years ago planted Rape and Turnip combination, deer never failed to walk through it to get to the regular alfalfa and corn
  3. Thats definately good advise...for everyone. Hopefully it will be everything i have hoped for.
  4. I shot one almost exactly like it, thats what got me interested, unfortunately my dealer did not stock this particular kind.
  5. Thanks...hopefully I will have a nice buck behind it. I have heard great things about it, never owned a Darton but based on the reviews and the price I could'nt resist. Giving the Browning Mirage(current) to my dad to replace his ancient martin so we will both be happy and shooting decent bows. I was alittle nervous of the 6 in brace height fearing trouble with accuracy but with such an increase in speed well worth it IMO, because I will learn to shoot it good I'm confident. Not sure when to expect it but will post pics.
  6. Well finally got enough funds to purchase a new bow, its a Darton 3500pro, can't wait for it to arrive.
  7. x2 We took a trip for my graduation present. We traveled through Utah, Wyoming, and montana. I believe the most interesting was Montana and Wyoming, Theres nothing like having to stop for buffalo to cross the road.
  8. I have gone for three years. If your planning to go, plan for a few days. I would also recommend going to bass pro shops in the morning and using their free bus rides that run constantly all day long to and from the show. Awesome place, but super crowded. bigger than most can even imagine.youll be beat after a day at the show. Plan on going to cabelas after the show, as youll often get decent coupins from them for in store only use.
  9. Thats the one I am looking at. The bracket is on sale at Cabelas $10 off
  10. If I had my way it would be a Kolpin, but make sure you get the one with the hinged lid.. i believe its the 6.0.. for quicker access
  11. We were fine for the morning, no rain, but then again, no birds.
  12. The muzzle break noise is often worse for the person standing to the right or left of you, than it is the person actually firing the gun.
  13. Pretty much samw here, saw four nice birds in field yesterday, woke up today early and heard a whopping two gobbles from the same bird, even though we're 100% sure theres at least four gobblers.
  14. Nice How did you cure it?
  15. Larry the Cable guy..................tonight at nine
  16. Ya i've been following it on stripers247, seems they will get the money back during the calender year.
  17. Bet your glad you didnt buy the lifetime
  18. Looks like he had something to do with it.
  19. Take a look at the "just asking thread"....thats a start.
  20. Ya yardage pro nothing fancy, but accurate and simple to use, and one 9 volt will last you more than a year.
  21. My buddies got a Nikon and it sucks, actually i believe he recently returned it. I have a bushnell yardage Pro, it works fine for closer distances > 300 yards but its hard to see numbers at dusk.
  22. Ya counted 60 turkeys last weekend in one field, they've been strutting and gobbling for the last few weeks.
  23. If its the satellite internet i heard its sucks from many friends. Slow and expensive.
