Yep, County tax map. Some Counties have it online if you go to the County website. Probably a methhead. The propane guy, not the owner. Well, I suppose the owner could be too.

I believe it says they must be disposed of out of state though doesn't it? -
I feel perfectly comfortable in my ability to drive safely, yet I still carry auto insurance. I'm perfectly comfortable in my ability to work safely yet I still carry Accidental Death and Dismemberment. I don't drink, smoke or eat crap, I am more active than most and fairly young but I still carry health insurance and get my regularly scheduled screenings. A concealed firearm is another form of insurance I carry for the same reason, because I don't have a crystal ball. I don't know when some drunk is going to plow into me, or when someone on a forklift isn't going to watch where they're going, or when life may throw a disease my way, or when some lunatic is going to walk in with a shotgun while I'm sitting in the barber chair. I don't carry because it makes me feel "macho"; I carry because I am the last line of defense between my loved ones and the Goblins. I don't think it will absolutely guarantee that I will come out on top but I certainly am going to make sure I have the ability to try. I got in a fistfight in High school one time and the guy hit me three times before I got my hands out of my pockets. I vowed that day to never get caught with my hands in my pockets again.

Or at least put some thought into it.

From what I read, 4 is the number designated by the FBI as the standard for a "mass shooting".

I had one of the cheap Stealth 35mm with a white flash. That thing ran for five years and in that time it didn't spend one single night in the house. Someone gave it to me for Christmas, I hung it on 12/26 and never brought it back inside. After all that time it finally gave up the ghost but I got albums full of pictures out of it.
-
Yes it is available but getting tougher to find. Yes you can get it developed but also getting more expensive and less common. I think that 35mm will take better pictures than some of the older/cheaper digitals but the ones with higher pixel counts are sharper. The older Moultrie I have with a white flash makes the eyes look like softballs from the reflection on them and I don't really care for that.

First hand in my case. Not on LI but my house is assessed at ~ $250,000 and if not for the Ag Value assessment I'd be paying right around $12K. In a lot of cases the banks were not giving mortgages out to people who couldn't pay because they thought it was a good idea; it was because the Federal government, starting with the Clinton administraion, told the banks that they couldn't refuse to give out the mortgages because it wasn't "fair". The ones who are upside down and facing foreclosure because they cashed out the equity in their houses for toys are idiots and they deserve to be living out of their cars.

I didn't take it that way at all, no worries, I was just pointing out that you're not the first to tell me that.

I cleaned mine out today too and got one mouse nest. Not so good odds though because i only have three boxes up right now. I did catch 21 mice in my garage this winter.

The bluebirds are checking out the birdhouses too.

I was raking stones out of the lawn today and I heard and saw a Killdeer.

Sometimes I think if it wasn't for my wife I probably could be. A guy I work with says "You don't like anyone except your wife your kid and your dog do you?" I always tell him "I don't like dogs; I have a cat."
-
You remind me of a friend of mine. He's always telling me "Everyone should do it once so you can say you did". Some things I don't need to experience to know it holds no appeal. I think I have a pretty fair idea of what to expect and it ain't anything I'm interested in. Don't like bars, or sports, or groups of people, or concerts. I went to DC once, wasn't impressed, don't see me doing it again. In fact I'd be perfectly happy if I had a job where I could work from home and I'd rarely leave the farm. I'm not big on change or trying new things, heck, I've had the same haircut for over 30 years.

Pretty cool. Has she ever lit into anything that wasn't what you expected, like a coon or something bigger?

If I understand the proposal correctly, with a "hunting" license you will be able to: hunt deer, bear, small game, turkey, archery, muzzleloader and trap? That's what it looks like when you read it in one place, but in another it looks like archery and muzzleloader will be separate? If that is true then do they plan to do anything for people who currently hold lifetime hunting and archery/muzzleloader licenses?

Just don't try to stop the chain by hand. 27 stitches.

130, classy deer, got it.

Never been to "The City" and never going to happen. I don't even like going to Syracuse. Rome and Utica are about the upper limit of "city" that I can handle.

With an unemployment rate under 3%, no state income tax (SD) and ranked #2 for lowest taxes in the nation under Alaska. NY #1 highest percentage of income paid in State and local taxes.

I have the same saw along with a 290 Farm Boss. I love that quick adjuster for the chain. Mine has been a good saw; it's great for limbing and brush but I prefer the 290 for the bigger stuff.

I don't remember the name of the town in ND in the Bakken fields but I heard somewhere that it has the highest sales of Corvettes in the country.

I've got a 30 year mortgage and that's the only thing I owe. I drive an old truck, don't have cable TV, only internet access I have is at work or the library, no credit cards and don't drink coffee. The whole reason we went with a 30 year mortgage is because the payment is about 1/3 less than the 15 would've been and I don't have a crystal ball. If I knew that at no time in the next 15 years I would need another vehicle, or a transmission, or a kidney transplant, or a new job, or braces for a kid, or a new baby, or any other drastic expensive or life changing event, I would've gone with the higher payment. Now, even if I pay it out the whole term and pay the extra interest, I have that extra money available for whatever life throws at me. Not that it really matters though because I figure I only have to work on Geno for about another year and I'll have it sold to him and I can move to South Dakota!

The school taxes are what the real killer is for us. They alone are nearly $5,000.
