  1. BDay beer! None other than two of my favorites, New Castle and Mississippi Mud. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  2. Storm914, Last time I will ask, what is your definition of "Traditional Archery" Gear?
  3. Now that brings new light to this whole debate! I like that! That's a whole new scenario that most don't look at. How many anti AR people are anti crossbow?
  4. Good points, I think. You had a couple there G-Man? Just kidding, post was a bit erratic. That would really not go over well. 2 weeks trad only, 2 weeks compound no trad, then two weeks xbow no trad and no compound. Vert bow hunters would crap a concrete egg and be protesting in the streets!
  5. Looks like a great rig to fish deep. Looking forward to the pics of you and the family hauling in some really nice fish. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  6. Meatball subs made at home, waffle fries. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  7. Seen the term "Traditional Archery" mentioned a lot on these topics. To be completely honest, I don't consider my compound bow "traditional archery" gear. I know a few on here still hunt with trad bows, moog is a shining example of that. What is traditional archery? To me, it's a long bow, a recurve.
  8. I have a place near Wolf's Hollow I can pick them. But that's a little over an hour drive now. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  9. Lawdwaz will run it through a wire wheel for me. I may send it to him, not sure yet. I was going to use it for splitting small stuff for our fire pit. But, now, I am thinking of getting a cheap wood burning kit, add something cool to the handle and hanging it in my den. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  10. Done for today. I might pick up some course sandpaper and see how it goes. But not overly concerned or in a rush. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  11. Got the stuff G-Man suggested and a wire brush. Minimal progress, but still progress. Pretty nice out so actually enjoying working on this. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  12. I think if Jesus was still on this Earth, he would be minimalistic. Long bow or a recurve, fingers, he would make his own wood arrows, feathers and use flint for his tips. He would put his time in to be efficient and ethical. Not use cams or food plots, and truly hunt for food and to be in nature. Purity is as purity does! That's not me being cynical, that's me being honest on how I feel about the question you asked. But, now it's reality check time ( this is me being cynical, but still very honest ) Jesus is not here, so it's a ridiculous question, and has absolutely no bearing on this topic.
  13. Getting ready to start using the smokers. After a lot of reading on a smoking forum I figured out how to get my vertical charcoal smoker to hold heat better and longer. I have to make some mods ( drill some holes ) to the charcoal pan to allow more of the ash to fall away when I shake. Looking forward to seasoning and testing the propane smoker as well. Still don't have a cover it, but a couple guys said a tarp would be fine, so will be getting that done soon.
  14. Yep! I was just hoping to save some time. I may go back later in the week for the ammo, MAYBE! As for my tags, just going to go into Ravena to the Town Clerks office tomorrow and get them.
  15. Kind of smell like a cross between an onion and garlic combined.
  16. Hmmm......6hr drive for some leeks? Think I'll pass, but thanks. LOL
  17. So, we are out doing our usual Sunday shopping, figured I would grab my turkey permits ( didn't work out so well, after a 20 minute wait for someone to show up, dude says he doesn't have access to the computer for licenses ). I get to the sporting goods area, and they now have racks for selling guns up. They are empty at this point, but appears they will be stocking them in the future. Was also completely shocked to see .22LR ammo on the shelves. I was going to buy a couple boxes, but the tag issue just irritated me and we left.
  18. Actually got them at Price Chopper, a few of their stores carry them from time to time. Store in Schenectady carries them, usually $4.99 PP, got these at the one on 9W in Glenmont $6.99 PP. Not as good as getting them myself, but a nice change of pace.
  19. Clams, steaming them, baked frogs legs for me. Box pizza for the little woman. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  20. Having a Bud, in an A7X glass, listening to Critical Acclaim by A7X, and raising the glass too all the US troops who have been/still are in wars all over the world defending freedom. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  21. Perhaps this is the reason why Vince's wife Linda is the Administrator of the Small Business Administration under the Trump Administration. Whew, try saying or typing that 5X fast!
  22. I tried this stuff about two years ago. Posted about it on this thread. It's a Wally-World "exclusive" here. Was low on cash and they had cases for $9.98. Can't find anything good to say about it. I thought it tasted like watered down Coors Light, and after 10 minutes in a glass it was flat. Glad you liked it, but for me, when it comes to budget beer, I will take a Natural Ice or a Milwaukee's Best Ice over this one.
  23. You shoot that from a window in your house? You gonna eat it or just use the fur?
  24. Just to chop wood. I was just looking for a way to clean it up a bit. Not make it all shiny, just get a bit of the rust off.
