  1. I just don't like the term " if it's brown it's down". It is what it is. Get over it. Let it go before you have a stroke people. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Well, then you could look at "ethics" like this. You never just up and shoot. KNOW YOUR TARGET, know your backstop, and know the area. I agreed "ethics" are a point of view. On things like for "who gets to tag the deer?", but not on the law.
  2. Like that last line. Most hunters don't wear the outer layer in the vehicle driving to their hunting spot. Seeing most people here are hunting the suburbs, I don't see the gassing up thing as an issue. Never wear your outer layer to or from the woods, never wear your hunting boots while driving, give a good spray of scent killer on your bass and or mid layer, your outer layer, and your boots, you should be fine. 100 years ago people hunted in w/e clothes they had, smoked pipes, cigars, cigarettes ( while actually hunting! ), ate w/e, yet low and behold, they still killed deer. Go figure. Oh what ever did we do before scent killer and camo?
  3. Never gonna happen. While I agree..It just won't happen. Joe Smo does his thing, Jane Train does her thing, you do yours, I do mine. I think the laws should set a base for standards, and then the individual takes it from there. Free will is the key here. But, blatantly asking about breaking the law, or agreeing with anyone who does, is unethical in my book. That's just me. Now, if you take a look at the big picture, NY jumped at the chance to ban a ton of , due to things that didn't happen here. So if you honestly think the folks who just do w/e don't reflect on all of us, you are wrong. Hunting is a community, if you think that jerk that shot the guy with a deer on a cart doesn't reflect on hunters as a whole, you're mistaken.
  4. Wilson Black Rivet leather jacket for sale. Size XL. Zip out liner. Nice jacket. The g/f got this for me for X-Mas last year. Originally around $300. It never fit, too small. She told me to sell it since I can't wear it. Asking $150, but a decent offer might get it for less. Again, not shipping.
  5. Well, this still doesn't make sense. Ya gotta love all the "free unlimited pop-emails" then come with paying for a web site. Makes it easy to be stupid.
  6. That makes about as much sense as an elevator in an outhouse.
  7. Not sure where you were in the storm. Or when you were hunting. But, after two hours, everything would have been covered with snow in CNY, in that amount of time. That orange would have been gone. You would never have been able to see a knife just laying on the ground. Don't poachers usually haul out the whole carcass? If it was rack poachers wouldn't they have taken just the head and left the rest. Rack poachers don't even gut the deer. Do they?
  8. Well, lets see.................. This one, the bullet proof vest, the "I would kill a deer after or before legal hunting hours" comments, and a few others. Some even tell people to take a stand/steps down they think might be a trespasser, which would be theft. I could go on...But, I digress. You have to live in your world, not me....Then again... Actually, yes I do. I am a hunter, and condoning or accepting breaking the law will never help the cause. Crap like this reflects on every hunter whether you want to believe it or not. Denial is a disease!
  9. Great recipe. I love home-made pot pie! I would use frozen veggies though. If you are using canned peas and beens, and fresh carrots, the canned stuff will not cook even with the carrots.
  10. I think for my blinds next year, will put some 2" dowels on possible pressure points.
  11. Shit! WE turned grows thread into BS, Sorry grow.
  12. What has my balls in a twist is that people regularly ask questions about braking the law, and the stupid help them break the law. Give them advice. "Sure do what ever you want! As long as you don't get caught....". It's pathetic! If you don't get it, then YOU probably break the law as well. Then you bitch about gun laws, the deer limit, and anything else you can. I am not holier then thou. But if hunters continue to condone breaking the laws, the right and that's what is is, a right, might be taken away. Then you will bitch more. But, it will be your fault! So grow up. See the big picture! Not just the three inches in front of your nose.
  13. Yep! That and you can track them easily in the snow.
  14. Na, she will love new me. I promised to only nibble her. LOL
  15. So, what are those lands/forests? A list or link would prove a point. I didn't say parks. I didn't say preserves. Land. State land. LAND. The OP did not say where he/she was.
  16. Belo? Victoria's Secrets is two miles <---------- that way. It's Black Friday! You can get sale items!!! That blue bikini bra dun suit you.
  17. Really? A speeding ticket will be stiff. But, a DWI, DWAI, DUI, will be stiffer. Not to mention, you are not supposed to leave gear on state land over night. Or did that law go out the window as well?
  18. Biz..... Brother......Fellow hunter........ I hope that was sarcasm......
  19. Yes, you are in the wrong thread. You are also in the wrong site. That's a "Bigfoot" track. You need to call the FBI and NSA immediately! YOU HAVE PROOF! LMAO!
  20. Wow. You guys didn't get much snow at all. They won't be hunkering down. Good luck dude.
  21. How many people hunting eastern or central NY had their pop-up/hub ground blind decimated by the snow the past two days?
  22. Holy crap! Got a pic from my cell just b4 he ate me........
