I agree, some of the 'lower brands ' ( as many like to call them ) work fine. It's how you take care of things IMO. I honestly only bought the knife for the ferro rod, and was surprised that they functioned. I will say, I would not recommend the knife for anything more then basic car camping things, IE- cutting para cord, or rope, or making hot dog sticks. It's uncomfortable, very thin, and even out of the package had a slight curve to it. I don't even want to try and guess what the steel is, maybe, MAYBE, 440SS, and that's reaching. That said, the knife will find a home in my car camping gear, the ferro rod in my back country gear. Anyone interested in the video let me know. It's a bit long at almost 20 minutes, but that's because I talk a little about the knives I have, ferro rods, and even give a small beer review. But I would post a link to anyone interested. Knives are like guns, you can never have to many!

Very sorry for your loss Swamp-bucks, sincere condolences to you and your family. Thoughts and prayers sent.

Happy Birthday!

I picked up an Ozark Trail knife yesterday from Wallyworld, not because I wanted the knife, but it came with a ferro rod. Neither are the best, but for $10 I was very surprised the ferro rod isn't bad, and the cheapy knife even worked to create a spark and light up some dryer lint. I was so surprised when I tested I actually made a video. LOL!

I think all the immature acting dicks need to leave! Don't play princess to the cause! Rise above immaturity! Stop the baiting! This thread crapping shit is getting out of hand! Grown men don't act like this! Also again fake accounts and trolling accounts are all the rage! Grow the hell up move on and let it go! For the record, chefhunter86, this is not directed at you, it's directed at all of the people who just live to cause drama every day. I have no pics, I made garlic-cheddar sausage in red sauce for dinner.

Fair enough! I will just call it/him/her, STD. Socially Trapped in Dementia. That work for you Belo?

I haven't really put to any major tests yet, but over all so far, I like it. It's hefty and pretty thick. All I have done so far really is shave some wood to test the spark from a ferro rod. As most know, staring a fire this way isn't as easy as "TV" makes it look. After a few tries it worked out fine. But I have no plans to baby this knife, nor do I want to put it through the tests they do on YouTube. In my personal opinion? I think I got the best "bang for my buck" knife for what I wanted it for. Time will tell. Oh, and I will add, "This blade WILL KILL!".

Another who can't take a joke....

Most times I cook it comes out good. I always bring it up to room temperature before cooking it. I have used this cut for many years, on the grill, over campfire coals, cast iron, and even smoked one. The key I find is never cook it above med-rare, but I try to make it pretty red inside, stays tender. I have had a few that were like chewing leather even when really rare, but not very often.

Hmmm... That's not entirely correct. If you want out of this site you just sign out and never come back. The problem, fake and trolling accounts. But, this is social media, you deal with it or you don't!

I already used the Stormy Daniels thing days ago! Get your own material or back off dude!

Looks like dog crap if you ask me. That's why it was scribbled out in MSP.

London broil in the cast iron, boxed three cheese scalloped potatoes, and a salad not in the pic. Wife can't eat taters anymore, so opted for a box mix after a crappy day. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Oh, there was an entry wound, pretty sure the last look in that deers eyes for a split second was the look us older guys get when have to have "that exam".

Best Genny there is IMO! From the looks of that pic, you had a few. LOL.

Was a joke buddy. Then again............. Seriously, I was busting nads.

I planned in getting out this after noon. Never made it. After shoveling my wife calls me into the bedroom, there's a hissing sound behind a wall in the closet. Crap, that's the water heater! Sure enough, a pipe broke. Plumber fixed that, then ran out to get mold killer and sprayed it down. Fan in there drying it now. Tomorrow floor repair. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

I ran this by the wife when she got home. I was given an ultimatum. We can go to this and I would have to give up our trip to ADK's so I can hunt. Sorry boys and girls, not giving up my hunting trip. This will be the most epic GTG for this site so far if it pans out, and I hope it does. There are many people on here I would love to shake hands with and buy a beer. This GTG won't be that time. I hope all who attend have the time of their life! And FFS! Someone make a damn YouTube channel and get some frigging video footage!

I made hot dogs. The wife decided to make chips out of cheddar cheese. She made more, but I was only able to steal a few. These would be great with some sasla. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
