  1. No Mayor. Not Letchworth on your home turf. Or mine either here in the hilltowns of Albany County. A neutral place, mid state or the Dacks. I'll travel anywhere! Let's see what kind of outdoorsman, YOU really are? We can shoot rifle, shotgun, handgun, archery, to see who's better? We can hunt small game, upland birds, geese, predators? Could see who can get a doe down first. I won't waste a buck tag on you. I got a real nice fishing boat I can tow most anywhere. Or we can fish from shore. Lake, stream, river, pond, makes no difference. Pan fish, bass, trout, salmon, walleye, pike? You pick. How good do you navigate with map and compass? How fast can you make fire with flint and steel? Can you make an emergency shelter? How close can you get to a deer without being detected? I'm not the best of any of these. But I'm willing to show I'm better than YOU! I'll make it interesting. Pick five disciplines of what I just listed. For each one you beat me at, I'll donate $100 to the charity of your choice. Preferably something outdoors, or youth related. C'mon! I'm just an old man. YOU are the best at everything! Prove it to us all!! Action talks. Your BS walks! Prove to everyone you're not just a jizz jerker. I can make time, anytime to do this. Again, anywhere neutral. Perhaps members can suggest, or offer a place? Let's get it going asap! I'll buy you a beer, after it's determined who the better outdoorsman is. Put up or shut up!
  2. Al, The malcontent is right here with you! The Mayor, is and always was one of the most toxic people to post here! Yet you defend him??? I never bashed this site or you. Or anyone else for that matter! If you want to ban me for sticking up, and speaking the truth then do it!!
  3. Yeah Mayor, been doing it for years. But you were to wrapped up in your mullet to notice. Any time you want to go hunting, or fishing, head to head with me on any neutral property, just let me know. I'll put you to bed crying. Whata ya say?? Mayor?? Put up or shut up. I'm certain we can work out a location. Real life. Real time. Real results. No BS. Lets do it!!
  4. You do make me laugh Mayor! Of course. No one is better than YOU!!
  5. C'mon Eddie......I have the utmost respect for you. Always have, and always will. I come here as a longstanding member. It doesn't matter what other forum I may, or may not visit. I still come here to contribute when I can. Just as I have for years and years. Not to push yours, or anyone else's buttons! We are all free to come and go as we please. And not be targeted, just for belonging to another place besides here. But you have to know yourself, "The Mayor" has been among the most antagonistic, divisive, self absorbed, asshats to ever post on this forum! He's been that way ever since I became a member many years ago! I never hesitated to call out his BS then. And I won't hesitate now either!! Talk about someone who's detrimental to this site??? Look no farther than "The Mayor" himself!! All this...... they shouldn't post here, because they went there, is childish. The welcome mat is always out over there. As it should be here as well. We are still members!
  6. That is so awesome!!!! Wooly is a super great guy! Please pass along that I send him the very best. Sure do miss him.
  7. See.....It's always ALL about "You" isn't it Mayor....... YOU are always the best. Everything that YOU have and do are the best. Better than anyone else. Right?? Nope, no envy here on my part. Just pity for you. A sad little man, that needs to brag on a computer to feel good about himself. I don't need to flaunt any of my accomplishments. Those that matter most are well aware of them.
  8. And this morning rant of yours Mayor, pertains to hunting/fishing??? There is absolutely NO competition between this forum and that. Get over it!!! Both are going their own way. I understand the sense of loyalty some have here. Heck, I've been a member here for years myself. Still some good people here too. That's the only reason I come to visit. And still try to contribute when I can. Besides ranting and raving like always. I don't see you contributing much here Mayor. For years you were only disagreeable and mean spirited to anyone who didn't follow your 'gameplan'. It has ALWAYS been about YOU!! You're the best at EVERYTHING, ALWAYS!! Right?? The actual contributions you've made here over many years are minimal at best. Now as self appointed Mayor of HuntingNY, YOU have tried become the "leader" here. People like YOU are not leaders. Only in your own mind you are. You never spoke for me and never will. I don't need any outdoor advice from YOU. There are others here I do respect very much. And my apologies to them for not contributing hunting/fishing in this post.
  9. A quick look??? If you are taking enough 'quick looks', which I'm sure you are, you may as well just sign up Mayor!! All are welcome! Even you! I get a full screen ad every time I stop by here too.
  10. If I can get away. It would be great to meet up with ya Paul. And GreeneHunter too!!
  11. Bear cubs will not often be very far from the mother bear. One cry from that cub, will bring her running fast! I hope that was the outcome of that awesome trail cam picture!!
  12. Got alot on my plate. But would love to go to this!!! Will see??
  13. Used to catch a bunch of panfish with a cane pole and bobber! Never had anything put up the fight the young lady in the video had though!
  14. I started out shooting trad bows, and shot with my fingers using a glove. After switching to a compound, I still shot with fingers for many years. When I went to a release in the 90's I learned just like you do. Right hand thumb up, palm facing in, anchored to my jaw, just below my ear. I've tried the other way with my palm facing out. But never could get comfortable with it.
  15. The final Bill was never brought to the floor for a final vote. So no changes made again this year. Typical NYS BS! The founder of NYS Crossbow Coalition, Rick McDermott and his wife were recently, tragically killed in an automobile wreck. So not sure from this point who will carry the banner, to lobby for changes in Albany. I know some people behind the scenes in the CC. And they are still sorting through all the stuff that Rick was working on. But as of right now, no one has made the step to fill the huge void Rick left behind.
  16. I too still have the MQ-32!! Bought mine in 2000, so 23 years old now. Still shoots just fine. I may have to take it out again this year!!

    Date

    Happy belated Birthday my friend!!!
  18. For bowhunting, I don't like any expandable broadhead. I stick to the fixed blade heads. Like my Muzzy MX4. Never have to worry if they will open up, or have blades pre-deploy. I stick with what works for me.
  19. Perhaps a very good training program would help Dutch??? Having him learn that some of his current behaviors are unacceptable, could be very beneficial to him and your family. Just re-homing Dutch won't solve his underlying issues. I really hope that this story has a happy ending.
  20. Congratulations to you both! 61 years is a milestone rarely seen these days! That's pretty special and inspiring. Wishing you many more years of happiness.
  21. Congratulations Grizz!!! What a huge bear! Be great to hear the story of the hunt!
  22. Sadly Rick McDermott the founder of NYCC and his wife passed away due to a motor vehicle accident yesterday in the town of Pulaski. RIP Rick. You were a true warrior for your cause. And will truly be missed.
  23. Nice to see you still haven't changed either mayor.
  24. What a great shot she is!!! That video was cool!
  25. There is absolutely no competition between sites. It is what it is. Everyone can come and go as they please. I visit both. Some great folks here and there. Have no issues with anyone. Well...............maybe Mayor McCheese. But some things will always remain the same.
