    I shot a 143 pound doe here in new York and it is unusual. 125 is indeed a large one.

    5 antlerless came by. No antlers to be seen

    I still use a shotgun, might switch next season but I'm comfortable with the shotgun and not so much with any of my rifles just yet. My farthest shot is 90 yards or so and that's no problem for what I use.

    It's actually surprising our group saw more deer this opening weekend than we have in ten years. Could be just good luck because I agree the winter was harsh.

    I also shot some more copper sabots and I get muzzle flash with those but no other round. Any reason for this?

    Tried the winchester super x sabots today and they really did not group well I guess Ill get different ones and go on Tuesday to shoot.
