  1. Fish on! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  2. Nope, I don't do too well on steelies in the lower river, mostly browns. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  3. There are a few Lakers in the river still and I've talked to several guys who have had a lot of luck with them but I have yet to hook one in the Oswego river oddly enough. I wish the browns got as big as they used to, I've caught at least 35 browns in the river this winter and nothing over 10-11lbs. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  4. The last few trips I've done well across from the hotels off of the wall, I don't pay attention to the street names though. It gets very little fishing pressure on that side and there are a few spots that seem to always hold fish. I've done well behind the hotels also at certain water flows. 5. Yes they are fairly common, Lake Ontario has big numbers of Brown Trout and being in the lake with ample food sources they grow big. A lot of our local streams are all stocked with brown trout as well but they don't get the size of the lake run fish. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  6. I've long been done hunting for the year and the season is closed here now but on my way fishing at 9AM I saw 4 bucks feeding together right near the road. They're definitely bacheloredback up for winter in 7F! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah they aren't as vibrant as when they were spawning but still pretty and fun to catch! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  8. Cold day but the fish were willing! Here's the 5 from today. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  9. I wish, my wife's brothers fiance has some land knowledge there, her father hunts a lot too. She killed a mulie, antelope and elk this fall. Us Flatlanders would need to hit the treadmill, hiking around at those elevations is no joke! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  10. Haha it was all enclosed in glass, but Everytime you went over another tower the whole thing would stay and drop slightly. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

  13. Just got back from a trip to visit my wife's family, I've been there before but what a gorgeous state. Here's a few pics, we took a tram to the top of the Sandia Mtn Range, elevation 10,600'. From the peak you can see 11,000 sq. miles and it equates to 9% of the state of NM. Pretty crazy. It was 45° on the ground and at the top it was 19° and 30mph winds! The tram rides up a cable that is 2 miles long and at some points you are 30ft off the ground, others 500'. I did spot a few mulies about halfway up too so that was cool! 14. Personally I hate the way they score, the only score I really pay attention to is gross. However many inches of bone that deer can grow should get counted in my opinion. Maybe it's because I've always liked the funky racks better? Nets are for fish! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

    New Bow 2019

Yea I really do too. I'm a fan of solid color bows anyhow as my last 3 have been blacked out but this dark earth is sexy! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

    New Bow 2019

Well I looked around at a fair number of bows to replace my RPM360, I wanted something a bit longer ATA, a bit longer in brace height and without sacrificing too much speed to do it. I wasn't brand loyal but I just kept coming right back to this bow over and over again. I went and shot it and it felt great from the start. Relatively easy to draw, probably the most solid back wall I've ever felt and little hand shock on the bare bow. I looked around a bit as I loved the flat dark earth color right away and found a great deal on eBay and won the auction. Started all over with arrows this year also, good tips have always served me well but I just wanted a slim diameter arrow that was between 10-11 GPI which is a lot harder than you would think. I was amazed how many of the hunting arrows are 8GPI. The Full Metal Jackets were a bit heavier than I wanted at 12GPI so I went with the same diameter Axis which comes in at 10.7 GPI which according to my research should still put me right about 300FPS. Hopefully I'll get it set up in the next week or so and I'll keep this thread posted with any findings! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
