  1. Another deerless sit, surprise... Pulled cam card, not much going on in that spot. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  2. He clearly thinks he's dominant over you! Low testosterone? Haha Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  3. I do believe that for the most part! It wasn't the urine that insulted me so much as adding insult to injury! It was bad enough he walked through but then to drop trow and spray... The audacity! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  4. Same here, so at this rate I'll never control it haha. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  5. Well... I just heard something trotting through the leaves behind me so I grabbed my bow and turned around and here comes a yellow lab wearing an orange vest. And the owner shortly behind it, coming from the thicket I was expecting the deer to come from. Awesome. 3,000 acres of public land and this guy walks right through the bedding area I'm hunting. I'm assuming he's scouting for the weekend. And to make it better he stops and pisses 30yds in front of me. Never saw me. No vehicles around, dead end road. Going to be a great night. Not worth trying to relocate now. Should just make the hour ride home I'm sure... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  6. I don't think there is a cure! The faster it happens the less time I have to get shook up, I think like anything, the more often you see good bucks the less likely you are to go into shock. If you get multiple encounters per year at "good" bucks I think that helps but I'm lucky to see one good buck a year so I have a lot more riding on the shot which makes it worse. I like to think the more deer I shoot the better at it I get but it's probably marginal honestly... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  7. My buddy and brother both killed bucks this AM. And here I sit, I'd be happy to see any deer at this point, just to confirm they exist. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  8. Man is it quiet! And crazy loud walking in, if there's a deer within 1/4 mile I should hear it walking. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  9. 5 hrs of nothing this morning. I thought this rut thing was supposed to be the best time of year? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  10. A 99lb dressed button buck huh? 57 lbs of edible meat? Your girth chart is a farse my man. That deer better have 30lb balls for your numbers to add up! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  11. Yep, thought he was a bit closer than he was and held for the lower third. A pile of hair and not a speck of blood. He wasn't as big as yours but it's getting late in the game and my standards are dropping! Still got a week to right things. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  12. Dark to dark sit today, soaked, freezing, hungry. 3 bucks, 2 does, 2 unknown. Oh Yea and I grazed a buck at 36yds so that was insult to injury... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  13. Had a degenerate young buck come through, he had broken off both antlers at the bases, definitely rutting though! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  14. Definitely something going on with him, not that it's a "kill him dead on site" issue but Yea he's got a problem somewhere. Could be a million things internally so I won't even venture a guess, but he may not survive the winter being that scrawny now. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  15. She needs to push herself away from the dinner table! That's really odd! Thyroid issue, it's not her fault... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  16. If the guy has 8 tons of corn being delivered, quick math tells me that he spent roughly $1500 on the corn! That's a lot for someone to spend on deer bait. 16,000lbs divided by roughly 55lbs per bushel equals roughly 300 bushels. Multiply that by we'll say $5/ bushel= $1500+/-. I'm not saying that someone out there wouldn't do it but wow... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  17. I've been in since 1, already regretting my decision last week on the 2.5yr old at 10yds. Would've been a gorgeous day for floating egg sacs... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  18. I'd venture a guess at 90-95", he'd get an arrow anywhere I hunt! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  19. I'd guess the bolt is buried in the dirt somewhere. Low hits are tough if they aren't in the right spot. I watched a buck get hit low and back a touch last night in "the hunting public" and the deer was still alive and staying in front of the tracking dog like 30 hours later. 20. This was a hang on, I carry in climbing sticks with me to access it, someone must've had a climber or sticks of their own. Usually that little bit of deterrent is enough but not this time apparently. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
