  1. I have a pharmacy's stock level of that stuff in my house. It is not going to help overnight - without a doubt it takes a few weeks to fully do what it needs to do. Took me about a month before I noticed it helping honestly.
  2. Gabapentin I think it is for nerve dulling. It'll take some time to load up in your system. I have had two back surgeries and have hip radiating nerve pain. Don't rule out back issues, esp in the lower back. I'd tell you what I did for the first surgery....but you won't want to hear it. I simply bent over to tie my boot laces. Pop....
  3. That is kind of where I am going too in general. If a shot is "money" then it's money for a reason. An unopened rage still has a cutting surface as do most mechanicals. Same with one that gets all banged up. If you get poor penetration say for hitting the shoulder knuckle, then I'd look at the hunter making a bad choice about shot placement, proper bowing of the arrow/BH combo, etc. I stuck the largest buck that I have ever drawn on in the shoulder knuckle at 30 yards. haunts me to this day. Tracked that dang thing a country mile. Gives me nightmares - 1" difference of placement would have resulted in the kill, or a different BH/arrow set-up. All of those my fault. All I have is heartache and the back 22" of my arrow that snapped off.
  4. Slick Trick Standard in 100 gr. IMO. The amount of weight people put on BH failure vs Hunter failure or even crap happens shooting is mind boggling to me. I can recall BHs being messed up pretty bad after a shot...missing blades, bent ferrules, etc. I can't recall a time where I said the BH failed and it wasn't me or my poor decisions, or just extremely bad luck in a hunting situation. It's the Indian, not the bow. If we're allowed to even say that anymore?
  5. Was heading down to Ohio this past weekend. Stopped at Sportsman's Warehouse in Erie for supplies. Checked for ammo and noticed several CVA Cascades on the rack. Been debating on a 350 Legend and wouldn't you know it, they had one. It spoke to me. Said...."Buy me." So....what kind of glass should I look at? I am not a Leupold fan. Hate to say it but I've had horrible experiences with them and I know I am the minority. But open to other options. And I have plenty of ammo for it. Deer Season XP in 150 and also the Hornady 165 gr.
  6. Some crypto rallying? I've been just adding a few $ a week to my accounts. Averaging down on ETH and that's been up a decent chunk.
  7. Slick Trick standards and Grim Reaper razortips or razor cuts. They have been reliable. Overcame a few poor shot results by me over the years. I’m definitely not in the game of changing things when it works personally. If I had to pick another BH on the market, it’d probably be with one of the larger companies just to ensure availability and higher chance the BH will be around for a long while. I wouldn’t want change put on me as much as possible. Same goes for arrows. Little aggravated me more than having to redial in a bow or BH tune, etc when it’s not my choice lol. I just view it as time that could have been better spent.
  8. More progress to update. The mini split is running well. Does a great job at cooling. the plastic is driving me nuts. We inspected, reset and nada. It is like it off the wall and on, and I even tried a few things. We’re going to have to create this lame picture frame around it to fix but is what it is now. I’d estimate 80 percent of the barnwood is up. After that gets done, up next will be the ladder desk, new ceiling light, all of the Apple HomeKit stuff, TV, and we have to put drywall up on the garage side. I’ll lay pegboard over the drywall too. The final step will be the inset porch for the front door of this room. We will side the inside walls (still outside but hard to explain). One thing we proactively did with this job is install a dedicated line going to the garage for an electric car hookup. We’re not in the market any time soon (thankfully) but with the way things are changing it was probably a future proofing move.
  9. Most of these people aren’t even in the US. Have to be careful. Had a guy in one of my FB groups try to pull that stuff and saw that he got several in another group for a few thousand. One thing you can do besides using PayPal Goods - and that isn’t foolproof - is ask them to coin the item with the image in it. Coin = setting a piece of paper with the sellers name, the buyers name, and the date on the item and taking a photo. This proves at least they have the item in hand. This can be photoshopped but generally a written piece of paper is hard to PS cleanly. Also always use a CC to pay for it via PayPal or whatever medium so you can claim fraud on your card. Also never buy from someone new and clearly a scammer…..
  10. Building one yourself or combining pieces from other forms? I thought you liked the Revolution? I like the one Curious Alert form I have. These pedestals will probably be the only pedestals I’ll do, I’m so iffy on them unless they’re part of some base/design instead of just going on the wall lol. Although, I saw a new full sneak wall pedestal. Looks different. Hopefully I have that challenge of picking out forms again this fall lol.
  11. That middle deer is a five point. Unique rack. He is a deer we know from last year. Hangs around in October but bails as the month wears on.
  12. Yeah I don't worry with you, that is why I was like good thing you are around, lol. You do a good job and I just appreciate having the confidence that I don't have to worry about it. Something to be said for that in today's world. Maybe talk your wife into buying a formal shop and going FT? Take the local taxi world over! We're almost there! I think I can unbox the TV and start putting mounts up next week!
  13. Same - I've had shoulder mounts and Euros done by seven different taxidermists over the years. I'm running less than 50% on my experiences as far as having a good business exchange. A taxidermist who can master the art/science of the craft and the business side....is worth their weight in gold. My hunting partner and I are working with an 8th for our turkey mounts...add that one to the poor experience list. Missing deadlines is one thing, failing to communicate is another, but then you get into all the other BS. Guy sent my hunting partner a photo of his bird with damage on it/missing feathers on one side. Wanted to change the pose - he is starting a month after it was due back (2020 bird). Here's the funny thing, this guy is highly recommended, and that bird had no damage there when dropped off. So much so, that the hunt was filmed for TV production - it's literally on multiple High Def cams and no damage to the bird. It went from the field straight to this taxi - not stopping past Go. Right to the taxi. Within an hour. Good thing Jason is around for deer.
  14. Posted 12 days ago, too. It's weird IMO, esp the reference to whitetail deer - whitetail reference seem like a midwest thing where mulies are. East coat people just normally say...deer. It's like someone on here saying I'm from New York, New York vs saying I'm from the city. Whatevs, I guess.
  15. Poster is first time post, listed location as Samoa, and references deer here in NY as Whitetail deer.... Seems sus, as the kids tell me.
  16. Will be wiping the crap off the lens this weekend.
  17. Can almost see the finish line.
  18. 1600 hrs in that time for your house? Or is that a business workhorse? My JD Z42 is at like 550-600 and I think is a 04 or 05. Working on these things has gotten expensive in past few years. I had a carb go bad. Replaced it, a small part on the replacement was bad. Was a nightmare to figure out. Had to phone a friend. Ended up having to swap a third carb…. Good luck w repairs.
  19. Lots of apples. Ohio deer are already eating fallen apples in a grove that I have a cell cam in. Significant volume of images repetitively. I hope the apples hang on into season this year. Not seeing a crazy amount of acorns. Might be time to find the ones that do, and get a set up to take advantage of in a few months.
  20. phade

    New bow .

To manage cost, I'd look at the bows geared toward growing youth. Alot of manufacturers will have moderately priced options to get people into the sport, yet the bows are still quite huntable. They end up having alot of DL and DW adjustments. Plus there is xbow option, too when in season.
  21. Hire an auctioneer if the collection is that large. They'll get you taken care of with the least amount of hassle. That said, I'd probably try to just do that down in VA assuming that is where everything is, and only deal with NY on the stuff you'll bring in. Sorry about your father. Hope for the best.
  22. 2013-2017 Flooded five times with at least 4.5 feet of water.
  23. I'm on septic, so the back up won't help!
