Seen 2 doe to end my day, no shot,very slow. Lots of shots across the street non in the chunk I'm part of. Do it all again in the a.m.

First shots 635, followed a an orange blob walking through. Not my property but close. Can't wait to chat later with them

No shots here in 8g yet, had a deer walk through 5 minutes ago. Hopefully more to follow

Pretty sure the rest of this state could get by just fine if that damn dingle berry hanging off nys ass would just go away. If we didn't have to pay and be run by the phycodic lefty down state politician's the rest of us would sleep better.

Why does there have to be some line in the sand of either your a bow person or a gun person. I love the ability to use both. The storm last year was in reality a narrow band of incredibly heavy snow fall. To say that it helped the deer population in the areas hit is crazy. The amount of stress put on the deer for that week was probably enough kill off some. Shortening deer season when most likely it sounds like there will be a early muzzle loader season coming sooner than later makes no sense. Last year's winter was a long brutal winter. If your seeing more deer this year maybe it's because you stink less than years past. Everyone just enjoy getting out.

Not in the woods yet but waiting to get the kids 9n the bus, then I'm out there. We 2atched 6 bucks chase a doe into our cut bean field from the kitchen. Their still out there, 1 stud 8.

Happened to my father, it was a very large 8 with a 24" inside spread. He knows that because the prick that shot it as it was about to keel over allowed him to handle the buck. His buck barrel was 24" and fit the spread. Guy told my dad he shouldn't had pushed the deer it was dead on its feet. My dad hit in in the liver. Guy new it was dead on its feet. My dad said no deer is worth fighting over between to guys with guns.

Had a little 4 or six move through, lots of squirrels.seems like it should be a good evening out here.

I will be, gonna get some pheasant hunting in with my dad next week. Some mid day deer hunting.

I worked at a company that builds machines for oil and mining industry. I did anything from cutting structural steel,laying it out, punching, for the last 5 years I ran 2 vertical milling machines. I've run laser cutting machines, break presses. If it was in our layout department I've run it.

Well found out today I'm getting laid off monday, after all the anger I guess I can look foward to gettin in the woods as soon as I get my kids on the bus....

When I'm using my climber I always carry a hand saw, I'll b cutting branches on my way up the tree sometimes. When I get up there if other close by tree branches are hindering my view or potential shot I trim from my stand.

First year of being able to walk out my back door to a tree stand. So far I'm up to around 70hrs this year. Truthfully I'm feeling burnt out and frustration is growing. But ya gotta keep grinding away, whether I get a big buck or not I need to get 3 deer in my freezer.

Shot a lone button buck tonite. 4th time I've seen him in the last month, never with a doe. Passed up two shots prior, not passing up this time, hungry for some steaks.

Got this little fella tonite. I've seen him now 4 times in the last month without a doe around. Well I've passed up shots on him twice, I've been out of steaks since August so he didn't get a third pass. Unfortunately first shot clipped a branch and went high and spined him, I quickly followed up with another shot square in the shoulder. Happy to be having tenderloin for dinner tomorrow. O I passed on a decent 6 point a half hour before he came out. That will be a nice buck next year.

Just had a nice little 6 go through, he'll be a good one in a year or two.

Get that bow up and try to rattle/ grunt him back. Goodluck

We have a 50cc and a 80cc yamaha for our kids. You can get the reasonably cheap, we paid $600 apiece. Just a new battery in one so far. The 80cc is a 1987 moto 4 and the 50cc is a 1995 badger. Just gotta watch craigslist.

In the woods I'll be using my old marlin 336 in 30-30, if I'm sitting by my field I'll have my remington 788 in .308. Both shot the Hornaday American whitetails very well. O and a straight 2.5 on the marlin and a 3x9 on the .308.

I don't know what's goin on in my woods, between yesterday and today all I saw was 1 spike...hopefully next weekend.

Haven't heard or seen a thing this a.m. climbing down to get some work done, then back at it tonite.
