  1. This big fella was limping pretty bad due to an injury on his lower right rear leg. He dropped an antler this weekend, perhaps from the stress of the injury. I hope he survives the winter.
  2. Really windy here in 8H, and not a deer to be seen. Great shot fletch jr!
  3. Hunted Rush (8H) and only saw one deer all morning, small buck very early. Father in law sent me this pic of an untouchable Webster buck. Big boy on the move in daylight.
  4. Live from the office Good luck everyone, looks like a great morning out there.
  5. Time to head into the woods and see what’s moving in 8H. It’s 47 degrees... Man, what I would give for a chill in the air and some frost on the ground.
  6. First morning iv been able to hunt since opening day. Let’s hope there’s some action. Good luck out there.
  7. In 8H most bucks are sporting larger than average racks... this poor guy is a button buck
  8. Got out on Lake George today. 50 keepers (perch and smallmouths). My wife got biggest fish with this 2.5lb
  9. Sounds like a great hunt. Let us know how the gator meat is.
  10. Your bullwinkle sounds more moose-like than this one. I was planning on waiting for my first 10 or better bow buck this year... but iv got pics of a 6 and 7 that would change my plans quick.
  11. Threw an old cam in an area where I didn't expect much activity... caught this wide 6 sneaking by. Could be a unique rack when the velvet comes off.
  12. Yea I have a crossbow too... comes in handy when the deer are all grouped up in December and you're trying to draw your bow with a dozen eyes and ears on you. Also, you'll have a lot more fun practicing and shooting targets with a compound. Shooting bullseye after bullseye with a x-bow gets boring pretty quick.
  13. Biz welcome to bowhunting! I hunted rifle for 15 years, got a bow 5 years ago and that's pretty much all I use now. Completely different experience. It can be heartbreaking the first few times you have a big buck just out of arrow range, but the deer behavior you get to see and the sheer number of deer can be incredible. And my favorite part - zero meat loss on a lung/heart shot deer.
  14. Yea I edited the order... that's what I was thinking. Is that an 8, or a 7 that id be really proud to arrow.
  15. Like many others, Im seeing larger than average deer in greater numbers. Im seeing several bachelor groups each night. What are your thoughts on these pics... Id be happy enough if this is one deer, but Im having trouble not thinking its 2 studs traveling together. Regardless... I hope he sticks around until Oct.
  16. Wide rack with WIDE bases. Good luck with him!
  17. What is the penalty for killing a mountain lion in NY?
  18. Yea, still 10% on most camping. Most of the discount were on clothes and ice fishing. Oddly enough, Gander Mtn. T-shirts were only 15% off, while other brands were more. You'd think they'd be giving those away.
  19. Yep... up to 40% 5% on guns doesn't even cover tax... not much of a liquidation
  20. I went into Henrietta Gander last night. Guns are only 5% off, ammo is 10%. Other areas range from 10-30% off. The best deals were on ice fishing gear.
  21. Here's another one for ya... Best buck on camera from last season.
