Yea, I'm gonna see how this season goes. It doesn't look like it in the pics, but the left side is below ground level, so it should catch some runoff. This isn't a very remote spot, so it would be easy to dump in 10 gallons of water every now and then.

I decided to give the deer some water. There’s no shortage of food options in the area, but there’s not much water. Closest water is 2 ponds about 500 yards away, which are both out in the open. This spot is in between bedding and feeding areas. I figure this might coax some movement in my direction, or at least give the local wildlife a drink. I’ll fill it this weekend and throw a camera on it.

It’s a beautiful evening!

The button bucks from last season are still around... and I have a feeling they might be indifferent to the rut.

My father sent me a pic of the “Northern” he caught... I let him know it was a pickerel. And a nice one! 4lb 12oz and 25 in.

We grill salmon once a week with Dino BBQ rub. Stuff’s great. And I included my beverage to respect the beer thread. Ommegang + Sloop = delicious!

If not year-round... they should at least sell it in 30 packs!

They need to pull the trigger and make Ruby Red year-around.

It’s great! Easy to use once you get a feel for putting the pies in. And it goes through way less propane than I thought it would.
