  1. Mama must feel really safe up there… I probably had 100 twin pics the other day. (And I finally fixed the date stamp too!)
  2. What do you use again? You sent me a pic but I can see it anymore. I'm one for one at killing deer with a round ball, I think Ill stop while I'm ahead.
  3. Poor man’s surf and turf… salmon + venison sausage!
  4. Sausagefest 2021… a little later than normal, but we made 20lbs of hot and 20lbs of sweet Italian. Just need to make links then freeze.
  5. Late Fathers Day/early birthday present. After looking at a few scopes, settled on a 3-9x50 with illuminated reticle. I liked the Hoghunter, but it seemed oversized for my needs (targets out to 200 yards and the occasional dumb coyote). It came with a bubble level… anyone use one of these? I understand the theory behind it, but I don’t know if I’m good enough or shoot far enough to warrant keeping it on.
  6. Legal hours and in season… and a hell of a shot for a kid.
  7. Most small game was with a marlin model 60 .22 or a Winchester model 37 20 gauge. First grouse was shot out a tree with a Ruger single 6 .22mag (I know... that wasn't exactly sporting or legal) First coyote was with a 8mm Mauser First Turkey was with a Winchester 1400 12 gauge First deer was a button buck with a Hawken .50 cal MZ. First rifle buck was a six point basket with a model 94 30-30 (The only gun I've ever sold) First bow deer was a 7 point atypical with Hoyt Striker.
  8. Looking good. Do you have good/bad years? Or is each relatively the same since you’re controlling most factors?
  9. Anyone have any experience with one of these? I was tasked with getting a birthday present for my brother-in-law and he's a big green egg guy. It looks cool if it works. https://store-us.meater.com/products/meater-plus
  10. Any daylight pictures of this guy? I'm curious if I could even tell its a different cape.
  11. Yeeeep. I preach that to every young person I hire.
  12. Time for an update… how are the freaks doing?
  13. That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about "8 days a week"!
  14. What did you think? Those are always the last ones left after we finish the IPAs. My brother-in-laws won't even touch them. Ill drink them at the end of the night.
  15. This sparked my curiosity so I took a look. To me it seems you would need to buy both. A 1-day tourist includes the trout permit, but a 3-day and 7-day do not. http://www.fishinpa.com/fishing-licenses-in-pa/
  16. I'm sure the odds aren't as good as Culver's gun raffles... but these are some sweet prizes! https://raffle.twrf.net/
  17. That’s one way to draw attention away from your purple kicker!
  18. Hot grill, cold beers, and chicken wings!
  19. No preserve… he’s at my main spot… lots of bucks there, but they’re all typical. In 9 years Iv only seen 2 atypicals. Curious what he’ll end up as.
  20. Great day on Canandaigua... Brooke out-fished her boy cousins, we took a few boat rides and then finished with some fireworks.
  21. Is this a huge base? A future atypical or a weird camera effect??
  22. We stopped down to check cams and ended up picking blackberries. Once we filled a mug she said we have to “leave the rest for the deer”.
