  5. Good question I would have to shoot through chronograph but I shoot carbon express maxima blues 250. Pull 65lbs at 28.5” draw. The arrows do go fast. But how fast id have to see Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

  7. Hey guys and gals. Just wondering what methods you have on reducing vibration or noise after the shot. I am shooting a bowtech prodigy with a 6in axion stabilizer and some hushpuk noise reducers i bought a few years ago at the Great American Outdoor Show. Im trying not to add too much weight to my bow so a longer stabilizer makes me a little hesitant. Id appreciate any ideas. Thanks in advance. -Anthony Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  8. Wow two years later and no chew marks or breakage thats amazing. If you don’t mind me asking where did he die how far and what was the shot like? Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  9. I have a few friends that use the trailer hitch with a carry rack and love it. When not in use it folds up too which is convenient Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

  13. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to such a generous service you provide. Thank you also for sharing your experiences. I look forward to this thread every year, and by far is one of my favorites. God bless Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  14. I mainly bowhunt westchester but have a spot in fairfield county as well where baiting is allowed. I can assure you it is not as easy as it seems to shoot a deer over bait. If it were, the deer population wouldnt be so damn high over there. Deer condition themselves to come in the downwind of the downwind side and make circles before coming to the bait and/or come solely at night. I have found once the whites and reds drop, I have seen deer walk right by the bait and go to acorns. Im not saying I agree with NYS laws, but it is a law in NY and therefore we need to follow it. Baiting allows you to add a food that deer normally wouldnt have access too, and it does increase your odds. But its not a slam dunk home run. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  15. Nope. Never have. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  16. Thats how i do euros. Scrape all the meat off and fur and then blast the skull with my pressure washer. Takes about 20 minutes tops and comes out just as good if not better Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  17. Accidents absolutely do happen but seeing these situations give me a sickening feeling Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  18. Very nice deer congrats. How do you like that nose jammer stuff Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  19. Absolutely. Lots of factors to explain why deer travel but three miles is nothing. Deer cross through yards under and over highways all the time. Especially this time of year Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  20. Thanks guys. I will keep you posted Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  21. No. I am not sure. Only got 5" of arrow in him. Ther were very few air bubbles in the blood but not enough for me to feel confident Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  22. Lol i know i said i thought i did until i found the arrow Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  23. With 5" penetration you think he can still die? I hear stories of deer living on one lung? Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  24. 2.5hrs after the shot. That blood was when we kicked him up he was still bleeding. I didnt hit the knuckle i think because thats more mid body closer to the neck no? My shot was higher Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  25. Hey guys. Im wondering whats your experiences with shooting a deer in the shoulder? Specifically the scapula. I shot a dandy this morning broadside 25 yards and the shot was a smidge high but double lung nonetheless. I would have put money down he was dead. He ran 50 yards with his tail tucked before I lost sight of him. I went to grab the arrow and to my shock I only had 5" of penetration. Im shooting a bowtech prodigy 65lbs carbon express blue streak with muzzy trocars. Im dumbfounded. The only explanation could be his front leg was sticking back hiding the vitals more than I thought. It just happened so fast I dont recall. My father and I gave the deer 2 hours and took up the trail hoping to get another shot off. He ran about 100 yards from the shot and bedded before we kicked him. Im sure he will live but Im wondering what are peoples experiences with these situations? I have shot 2 does this year both through the scapula unintentionally and blew through it like nothing. Is a mature bucks scapula thicker? Anyways thanks in advance for advice/wisdom on this topic.
