  1. Absolutely well said. That is the epitome of what hunting is all about for me. The memory not the inches. I have found myself doing exactly what you began to do but kudos to you for realizing and correcting it. Thank you for sharing Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

  4. I personally wouldnt use it Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  5. 3S has a good crop this year depending upon where you are in the county. Some spots that produced last year are dormant and vice versa. Whites, reds and live oaks have already fallen and are pretty much done from what Ive seen. Also lots of beech and hickory too. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  6. I just bought a can of it after a few friends told me they swear by it. Im a little skeptical with the vanilla smell. I dont know how they dont mind it but i will give it a whirl Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  7. I have shot a few mature bucks and all have been the first week in Oct and one in CT opening day. i run many cameras and dont see too much of a difference in when big bucks move in 3S during the rut but i mostly hunt private land. I wonder if the bucks are moving midday because they have patterned the hunters or hunters coming down kick them up and/or the moon as well. Also maybe late morning early afternoon is when people will finish breakfast and go for a walk or jog in the woods. I dont have enough experience other than to theorize what are the reasons Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  8. I have some rude deer on my cameras. Gonna have to teach them some manners Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  9. Over the past few years I have had many cameras stolen. I usually average two a year. So much so, that now i buy cheap cameras in anticipation for them not lasting long in the woods. I also check the regularly so if they are stolen no one gets a month worth of camera pics. So far this year I havent had one stolen though. Most likely its another hunter that took it. Thats my opinion Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  10. It depends. I agree they will scare deer if its a mature buck or mature doe and they notice something odd whether it be scent or a flash that the camera gives off in night mode. I notice sometimes at night when my cameras take a picture sometimes the deer are staring right at the camera when the picture goes off. Some guys i know swear by black out cameras and not flash or red led. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  11. Hey guys and gals. As turkey season is winding down I was fortunate enough to tag out for the second year in a row. The tail fans are accumulating on my wall and I want to find a new way to maybe hang the beards and spurs on my wall and was wondering what you guys have come up with to hang all of yours on. Pics are appreciated! Thanks Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  12. I have used fixed all my life but back in 09' i decided to try a two blade rage on a buck at 27yds. In flight one of the blades deployed and it nose dove and hit him in the hoof. Never again have I used one but I was thinking of giving them another try this year but scenarios like yours are what make me hesitant. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  13. Im guessing good spot to find dead deer hit by trains. Sounds like a solid plan to me Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  14. It amazes me how tough these animals are and how strong their will to live is. I have tracked for me and another hunter, two deer for sure this year hit in one lung and both survived. Blood just like yours Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  15. Im no deer expert but personally i feel the deer will stay hunkered down until the sun warms up a bit. Midday may be a good time to catch them feeding Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  16. Absolute beauty and a gift from God. Thats a great memory right there. Congrats Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  17. Absolute great job by you two! I dont want to be a party pooper but i cant believe how many people make marginal shots and rely on deer search to find their quarry. I really thought it was just anti hunting propaganda. Although accidents do happen and I have had my share great work ensuring those lost deer do get recovered. Is there a way I can make a personal donation to your cause? It would be an honor of mine. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  18. someday i will do a full sneak but i decided to go with semi upright turned to right ears back. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  19. Congratulations. That is awesome. My first deer is one of my most fondest memories. Enjoy! Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  20. Hey guys and gals, I shot a buck that I am getting mounted and I'm looking for something different other than the usual upright or semi sneak and was thinking of going with the full sneak as the buck I shot had his head out checking does that he was pushing. But I am unsure how it will look. Does anyone have any full sneak mounts they can share or have an opinion on them in general? Thanks in advance. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  21. Good luck. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
