I shot a big buck this year at 30 yards and had 8in of penetration before the buck lunged and snapped my arrow. He walked about 40 yards and bedded down so I backed out until the morning. The next morning he was still in his first bed alive and ran another 200 yards before bedding again. He was still bleeding and there were bubbles in it so I decided to try and bleed the bastard out since he still had my broadhead in him. I pushed him until he went into some thick cover and i backed out. Waited two days and went back and to my surprise he was still alive and in the same thick cover he was two days before and he got up and crossed a street never to be seen again. I know I got one lung and am flabbergasted as to how he survived but many people claim they do. Dont give up. Just wanted to share my story Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

Im wondering whats your guys preferred method for archery hunting. I have never shot a deer in the standing position before as I feel its extra movement I dont want to make. Long story short, yesterday in CT I missed a beautiful buck because my new bows (3"in longer than the old one) cam hit my knee after the release and the arrow went under him. Im beginning to think standing may be the way to go. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

I was in the woods on Sunday and noticed acorns starting to fall already. I did not pay attention to much to whether they were white oaks or red Oaks Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

This is my season in a nutshell I will probably go out a few more times but I don't think I will find much. The top left picture isn't mine a friend found it and I was lucky enough to be with him because it is his first shed he has ever found. These are all Westchester County Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

I consider myself a very avid shed Hunter. I usually find on average about 15 year. The single biggest thing I can say is to look where there are a good concentration of bucks. If there arent any bucks in the woods then youre wasting your time. Winter is different than fall. A buck that May be in there in October or during the rut usually might not be in that specific area during the winter. My rule of thumb is usually look in the thickest nastiest stuff or on South facing ridges Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk -
This has happened to me so many times its not funny. Last week I had a man (im guessing an angry homeowner) screaming at me and cursing me off before telling me hes calling the cops. I just laughed it off because i had a right to be where i was. But i have had cops called on me many times. Most cops are cool about it Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

Thanks for the detailed response. I am planning on using a linesmans rope and a screwgun to predrill some holes. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

But do you think people harm themselves because of the design and whatnot of the product or by their own fault considering mistakes do happen. I can see how they are obv more dangerous than climbing sticks Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

5'10" 250lbs. Im going to use the screw ins in places i fear a climbing stick would disappear. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

Hey guys Im thinking of doing something new this fall and instead of using climbing sticks, trying out screw steps. Im a big guy and just wondering what kind you guys use for those that use them. Also do you think screw steps are best or would screw bolts into a tree be a safer alternative? Thanks in advance Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

The same can be said for me in Westchester. I spotted a few dinky ones with a half a rack but most still have both sides. Ill probably wait until I go searching. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
