  1. Andrew, you always have a knack for helping people. It's a great gift to have.
  2. Note: It says save $50 after trade-in, trade-in price of $99.97. I wonder what the trade-in terms will be. Do they have to be working? I doubt they will take the time to verify. I guess one should always save their old trail cams, even if they don't work.
  3. Oh, I saw the thread title and thought you were talking about Red Foxx. No clue about red foxes.
  4. Congrats on weight loss. I'm horrible with remembering/recognizing people. At least now I'll have an excuse
  5. Genesee Ruby Red Kolsch at Genesee Bre House with Mr and Mrs SAHN. Thinking of you, @turkeyfeathers
  6. Well, it took half a day but I have my permit and I have my handgun. Process is a bit of a PITA. Just need to figure out when I can get to the range to get back in practice.
  7. That sucks, Jay. We get tomato blight a lot so this year we just did one cherry tomato plant in a pot.
  8. Well, not consecutively . . . .
  9. Wow. 4 months!? Jim Emmick of Firearms Training of NY was telling me earlier this year that for Erie county, if you live in an area where the Sheriff does the background checks, it's 6-8 months. If it's in a town that does their own background checks, it's around 12 months. He also said that the Erie county sheriff offered to take over background checks for all of Erie county, but three towns refused. Politics.
  10. I remember years ago when people would just order a "coffee, regular" from a small kiosk at a corner in midtown. They would come in the white and blue greek pattern cups. Also would get an egg on roll sandwich. I wonder if NYC still has those guys.
  11. fwiw, I believe the wear layer is in mils, not mm. There is some nice lvp stuff out there. If you are installing yourself, its pretty easy to work with. I got a pallet of cheap lvp at an auction a few years ago for my rentals.
  12. In the summer I like to get iced coffee at Tim Horton's. My order is: large iced coffee, light ice, 4 cream, 2 splenda, and a sugar free vanilla shot. Seems straightforward to me, but Mrs. Goose always gives me a hard time about it.
  13. I just realized, the tire shop that put on the new agent tires told me the old tires were solid foam, not calcium, if that matters.
  14. But, ironically, in this particular instance, my complaint is that they didn't completely address the issue. I would have been fine with them doing the $1,300 in repairs. Then I don't have to worry about it, and I move on with things. So, you think I'm asking for trouble because I tell the shop I want the problem fixed properly? OK, we have different philosophies, I guess.
  15. Not for the bow impaired, it's not!
  16. Great. You gave me an extra day to get ready!
  17. Thanks, Jay. That would be awesome. I'm super busy right now with trying to finish up a work project, getting in food plots, getting ready for my trip and keeping the Mrs. happy with family obligations. We're leaving for Italy on Sept 8, back Oct 20. Then I have to get ready for hunting season (Nov 1 Xbow). In the meantime, I need to get my pistol back and go practice to make sure I'm still a respectable shot, especially if I'm trying out a new pistol. It's been a couple of years now. So realistically, it will be post-Nov before I can go to the range with you guys. This year did not go as planned as far as getting stuff done . . . .
  18. Thank you, Larry. I'd like that. Very thoughtful of you.
  19. I love my CZ, but I do think that it is still a bit too big for concealed carry. I will be on the hunt for a baby pistol this winter that's love handle friendly. I think CZ has a smaller pistol, which I will look at, but I doubt I will be able to find one locally to see how it feels or shoots before I were to buy it. The Sig P365 sounds like a great pistol. I will look at that one, too.
  20. Thanks. My wife's uncle has talked about shooting long guns there. It didn't occur to me for pistol.
  21. I had it legally in FL when we used to go to the condo in St. Augustine for the winter. When we sold the condo a couple years ago, I transferred it to a hunting buddy who has a NYS pistol permit. So he just needs to transfer it back to me via a FFL and I need to register it on my permit. (I haven't read the details on the process yet, but that should basically be it.)
  22. There was one other tidbid the new manager mentioned. He pointed out that the front tires were loaded with calcium and that was "hard on the gearbox"/was a factor in the leaks? Again, I have no idea how that stuff works; didn't really follow what he was saying. I did tell him I was putting new ag tires on the front that would not be loaded, so that should be a factor anymore, as far as axle leaks go.
  23. Well, at least the current right side leak was fixed, and the left side was done as a preventative measure. It's just a wild card/crap shoot as to if or when the middle gearbox will leak.
