  1. This morning I cooked some Merguez venison sausage I had made a while back. Not nearly as spicy as I thought it would be. At the back end I thought I tasted cinnamon, but it must have be the cumin. Not bad. I think this would go well with an Arrabiata sauce (or a cous cous with a spicy broth, of course). I followed the recipe for the Merguez from here , but think I will try a more exotic blend of spices next time.
  2. Yesterday I made northern beans and ham soup with my own pork stock made from pork neck bones and feet. Not bad. Eating it now.
  3. pic? or link to pic?

  6. Some good deals, but I don't see anything in pink. Edit: I actually ordered some stuff. Scent-lok base layer pants at 74% off. last ones. thanks, Lawdwaz.
  7. looks like it. with a raw sugar cane stir stick. Fancy drinks . . . .
  8. While arguably a bit bloated, no, I'm not. Cranberry juice is for UTIs. You have experience in infecting urinary tracts?
  9. I pulled my trail cams for the season. Will put them back out in the Spring. Some have batteries with maybe 40% of life left. Others are completely dead. Should I just throw them all away and start with fresh batteries for all of them? If I keep the ones with some life left, should I keep them in the trail cam or store them separately? Thanks.
  10. that qualifies as comfort food, I would think.
  11. I'm not hard up, just always looking for a deal. (Some might say cheap, I say resourcefully frugal.) Anyway, It's not a top layer, who would know . . . .
  12. When I was dating my wife many years ago, I had a polo shirt that was a distinct shade of yellow. Years later she told me that soon after we moved in together, the "banana shirt" had an unfortunate accident and was never seen again.
  13. yeah, but it probably would have been tight around the shoulders. Slim pickens in the clearance aisle for guys. I'm trying to stick to the better quality stuff, anyway.
  14. I signed up for a wilderness survival course. Part of the class is building your own kits (EDC, car, home, etc) Good stuff.
  15. I was out of my go to Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill.
  16. I acknowledge I am opening myself up to some abuse, but better to give the forum something to rally around. I'm drinking Leinenkugel's Ginger Shandy mixed with diet Squirt. Refreshing.
  17. If the dog that killed the deer has rabies, could that be transferred to a person who eats the venison?
  18. any idea if the dog was feral? Alamaba swamps or someplace closer to home?
  19. Depends on the brand. You'd have to have TF go through and separate the goods from the just OKs.

  22. That is discipline, mlammerhirt. I've envious. We have one of these organizers (along with a bunch of wire shelves). They are great, just a bit of a PITA when you have to change the can size/width.
  23. Here's one for you, TJ: Is this your meat by chance?
  24. We love that. Do you make yours with shredded chicken thighs?
