My wife was excited till she found out it involved her helping me stuff venison sausage. I made pepperoni, chorizo and soppresseta using UMAi dry bags (link for more info). Have never done this before, I hope they turn out OK. Will be ready in 4-6 weeks. I got the recipes from here under fermented and dry sausages.

This morning I was driving on the 190 towards downtown and lost control of my vehicle. I started fishtailing and ended up doing a 180 on the far left left into the adjacent lane. Fortunately, the road was not crowded and people were going slow. I came to a complete stop without hitting anything, and was able to just turn around and start driving again. I was lucky. Although there was little official accumulation, it was really slippery out there today with poor visibility from the blowing wind. Now I am reading about the pileup on the 90 East of Transit. Why does the [DEC?][lawmakers?] keep pushing for more ARs or harvest limits, in your opinion? Is it really because of low deer population levels in certain areas? Money grab via fees? Indirect anti-gun sentiment? It seems to me a declining hunter population is also a concerning issue, but I don't see the DEC or lawmakers doing anything about that. I just don't understand what is driving these things.

Well, for the hell of it I bought a Hatsan Tac-Boss 250XT C02 Pistol (.177cal) and a Hatsan Mod 95 Vortex QE (.22 cal) Air Rifle Combo, along with some ammo. I've spent more money on worse things, I suppose.

fieldsupply.com has a bunch on sale. I was thinking about getting one for target practice and or small game hunting. Anyone have any experience with a Hatsan?

WNYBH, do they suck due to the quality of the recording or the quality of the speaker? I'm wondering if the bluetooth speaker might make them more useful. I bought an e-caller for coyote hunting last year. I will have to see if it has, or I can program, deer calls.

I guess electronic calls are now legal for deer. I want to get one because my feeble attempts to use a manual call just sound like I'm playing the kazoo. Also, someone suggested getting an outdoor bluetooth speaker and playing the calls through that. Brilliant! I hadn't considered doing that. Anyone have any deer call apps for android they could recommend? (or say don't bother with?)
