Yeah, I walked by that in the store like probably 20 times and finally caved to try it. I don't even like smores. Had one every now and then but mainly they are still in the fridge.

Next year I may try to do some of my own smoked meats cause that looks awesome

that looks awesome

Make your own pizza night. I cooked up done little cubes of venison steaks to throw on top.

Same here. This year I even moved it closer to the driveway so I didn't have to shovel so far. That's another reason for lack of snow.

Same but I still have my untappd account

10-Year Vegetarian Here That Now Eats Meat...

I bet there's a girl involved. -
Leftovers. No need for pictures. You've all seen them before.

one of my favorites ever since my wife and I spent a weekend up in lake placid

about 4-5 weeks ago I was getting bucks on trail cams regularly. A bunch of you guys a few weeks ago were saying you were seeing antlers still attached to bucks. I hadn't seen any antlers walking on my cams in 3-4 weeks. I thought you guys were full of bologna. They must have dropped off my bucks. Wrong. Had a buck walk through the yard last night with antlers still attached. Fact is they must have just stopped posing in front of my camera. I probably walked around so much looking for their antlers that it made them walk somewhere else. That's life

10-Year Vegetarian Here That Now Eats Meat...

I'm kinda in the same boots your are in, except for the vegetarian part. I started hunting this last season. I just turned 34. Never fired a real gun and certainly never shot something that was alive. I've learned a lot on here. A ton of knowledge actually. Nothing will help you field dress a deer like an experienced friend however. Youtube and read and learn all your want. I'm glad I had someone to call for both deer I shot. I'm pretty sure I would have worked it out on my own but probably not with the same results. I appreciate the meat I got and how well it was cared for. I did the work myself with the direction of my friend ( oh and by the way...shoot a grown deer and they're heavy. Help dragging doesn't hurt) You probably have a friend close by who hunts. If not, make one. -
Yeah it's ok to have one once in a while I like to have a reg sculpin with a grapefruit one.

I would never try this beer. Pineapple makes my throat feel like I've swallowed fiberglass insulation. I hope these breweries label what sort of funky crap they are trying to put in beer these days.
-
And that's how it works

The one I'm planning to build is similar in size

Actually turned out way awesome. While I was cooking tho, I decided to try to cook up a few small pieces of venison just right with butter and montreal steak seasoning, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I'm new to venison and wasn't sure if I'd like it as much as beef. I can see how if you over or under cook venison it can turn people off. I guess I learned you just have to be on point while cooking it. I'm too full to type anymore

We hit the ithaca brewery up after a few days on the FLT last fall. First time I'd been since they got their new place. Pretty nice there.

Blaught! Again. That's twice today.

Venison gorditas and fish tacos.

This is a favorite of mine

I couldn't find a shed if my life depended on it....
Rockspek replied to ApexerER's topic in Deer Hunting
I was thinking the same thing while shed hunting yesterday. Fortunately I like walking the woods anyways. -
Well this one is different. Aftertaste kinda tastes like cooked popcorn kernels that never popped. Wonder if they put some roasted corn in the mash?

I use labatt blue to steam my clams on the grill. It's the only reason I have labatts in the house though. Hot vat of beer to cook clams in is the best way I know how to cook them. We call them drunken clams. Just thought I'd get back to the original question asked.

That looks awesome. I am looking forward to building my bigger smoker to do stuff like this.
