  5. Sure looks to me like they are eating pretty good.
  6. OK you win I was just tying to acknowledge it was a big cat and that it is twice the size of one that would be found in NY I also read that Hillary was going to be our next president!!!!
  7. Not my numbers From Description Bobcat are about twice the size of a domestic cat and usually smaller than the Canada lynx. Their fur is dense, short, and soft and is generally shorter and more reddish in the summer and longer and more gray in the winter. Spotting occurs in some bobcats and is faded in others. The face has notable long hairs along the cheeks and black tufts at the tops of each ear. Males are, on average, one-third larger than females. Both sexes can be greater than 30 pounds; however, averages for males and females are 21 and 14 pounds, respectively. Body length for males is 34 inches and 30 inches for females. Tail length is usually between 5 and 6 inches for both sexes. DEC
  8. He never cried for anyone he represented in New York. What a clown...always trying to be in front of the media.
  9. Probably 2-3 times bigger than one you would find in NY. Not far from the record: A male, the 52-pound bobcat eclipsed the Wisconsin verified record of a 48.84 pound cat killed in Marinette County in 1984. In comparison, the largest verified cat taken in Minnesota weighed 38.72 pounds. “One over 40 pounds is the rare thing,” Arendt said. “Bobcat hunters are always looking for those.” To date, no record of a verified cat that is larger has been found across North America, meaning that the bobcat might find immortality in the record books.

  11. For Release: Monday, November 7, 2016 DEC Seeks Assistance to Locate Black Bear Dens This winter, State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) wildlife biologists are seeking the public's help to learn about new black bear dens throughout New York. As part of DEC's ongoing monitoring of black bears in New York, wildlife biologists periodically check on black bears during the winter den season. The bears may be fitted with a radio collar to help biologists track the bears' activities throughout the rest of the year and to relocate dens in subsequent years for monitoring cub production, condition, and survival. Bears may den in a rock crevice, tree cavity, or under heavy brush or fallen trees. Since female bears generally give birth in January or early February, a high-pitched squeal from the cubs may be audible if near a den. New York hikers and hunters typically cover countless miles of wooded terrain each year. DEC urges anyone who finds a bear den to not approach or disturb the den, but simply to note the location and move away from the den site. DEC requests that anyone locating a bear den contact their local DEC Wildlife office with specifics about the den location, including GPS coordinates if possible. A list of regional wildlife offices is available on DEC's website. More information about black bears in New York is available at DEC's Black Bear web page. 12. I use one on my kel tec. Kind of like it but it can only be mounted on the right side. Never understood why they don't make one for the left side but they are very specific about installation. Just remove the pins, and install new threaded pins. Easy to go back to a holster if you want.
  13. Like you I have called them in during spring turkey but have never used a turkey call to try to call them in during predator season. Not sure if it would work or not. Might be worth a try since by now the have heard the "dying rabbit" a thousand times.
  14. Wife got her letter over a week ago...I still do not have mine. Maybe they forgot. I could care less since I don't plan on doing anything until at least the end of the year.
  15. Model 100 .20 ga. 3" mag. improved & modified barrels, 25" barrel(s). I borrowed a friend's once and fell in love with it. Walked into a gun shop one day and this one sat on the rack. It got traded that morning and was in my house never to leave that afternoon. Gun shop owner said he had never turned one around that fast. It was just my lucky day. Mine doesn't have the auto ejectors like my friends but as far as I am concerned it was a lucky find. From what I understand they make a couple of different configurations such as choke combinations, auto ejectors, etc. The main thing I was looking for was a double barrel with a single trigger.
  16. Try going to: tools>> click internet options>>click delete>>make sure all the boxes are checked and then click delete. After that download the free version of this: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download and run one or twice a week. NOTE: ONLY DOWNLOAD FROM THE piriform site.
  17. Buckmaster...Nice way to pay tribute to your father. I am sure it would mean a lot to him. Pygmy I bet it looks like this...Definitely one of my favorite guns. Shot a lot of rabbits, grouse, a couple of fox & one coyote with this one and would not give it up for anything. Sad part is when I am gone it will probably be sold since I don't have anyone in the family to pass it down to. At least not now.
  18. A closer analysis of the picture on the left indicates those are TICKS not people
  19. One thing I have always wanted to do is shoot a black bear with a bow under natural conditions. No guide, no bait, just catch one in the wild. Have tried quite a few times in the Adirondacks but still no luck.
  20. Got a couple down the road from me that do the same thing once or twice a week. Another one does it just about every Sunday around 9:00 am. Blows off a bunch of ammo then leaves.
  21. These have been working out pretty good for me. You can slide them left or right to line up the scope pretty easily.
