W. Bloomfield: We will raise your taxes no matter what
-
One from the millennials/electronic age. A postal money order is the ideal way to pay someone quickly via mail. You walk in ...pay the amount you want to send at the cost of about $1.75... put it in the mail and send it. It is a form of guaranteed money to the seller/merchant. A paper form of PayPal.

The forgotten war that wasn't a "war" with over 58,000 casualties:
-
Starting on the 17th I have had between 9 and 25 in my field every night between 7:00 & 7:30 pm. They have also been in the yard digging and hitting the flower gardens and bird feeder attached to the deck between 3:00 & 3:30 a.m. All look healthy and fat. Most are good sized but there are a couple that don't look over six months old which makes me wonder when they were born.

SB 4739 - Establishes the yearling buck protection program
Steve D replied to Rebel Darling's topic in Deer Hunting
What is deer management? Quality Deer Management (QDM) is a management philosophy/practice that unites landowners, hunters, and managers in a common goal of producing biologically and socially balanced deer herds within existing environmental, social, and legal constraints. Anybody following the actual bill?? Same conversation going on there in the discussion section and it is just about as productive as this one https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2017/s4739/amendment/a -

Andrew Cuomo Call it the Make-Andrew-Look-Good Tax: a new bump in electric bills OK’d by the Public Service Commission on Monday. Officially, it’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s “zero-emission credits” for electricity, meant to support non-fossil-fuel energy sources. In reality, it’s a bailout for financially struggling upstate nuclear power plants. Price tag? No one knows for sure, but estimates run to at least $1 billion over two years, and perhaps billions more thereafter. The tax will be folded into consumers’ utility bills — on top of the 33 percent of the bottom line that already goes to taxes. The cause is supposedly to battle climate change. Cuomo’s plan requires 50 percent of the state’s electricity to come from non-carbon-emitting energy by 2030, and that’s impossible without nuke plants — which account for up to 60 percent of New York’s carbon-free energy. He is also working on a bag tax making Wal-mart, and other plastic grocery bags have a deposit on them like cans & bottles. Seems like it would be more appropriate to raise the fines for littering and for people in general ESPECIALLY hunters to stop throwing their junk out the windows and leaving it in the woods!!! If you pack it in you pack it out!!

Andersons in my entire house. They have a good warranty but only cover the window or door if something goes bad. The labor to replace is on you.

Another safe-act petition This one is from Senator Robert Ortt in Niagara County/Lockport. You have to sign up to sign it and once you submit your information it will send your vote to your senator based on the information provided. https://www.nysenate.gov/petitions/robert-g-ortt/sign-petition-restore-our-rights-repeal-safe-act Pain in the neck but at least someone is trying.

While it is illegal to feed deer in NY something like this is legal in a "food plot". Legal in Maine & some other states but not good old NY. http://www.wideopenspaces.com/build-antler-trap-collect-sheds/ In New York, it is illegal to feed deer and moose by putting out any material that attracts them to feed. There are five exceptions to the rule: Agricultural crops including wildlife food plots. Distribution of food to livestock.

Probably not sure which bathroom to use either -
Put the x-country skis on the afternoon because it was to deep to walk. Deer have tearing up the field big time getting something to eat. Pretty tough cutting trail also

FYI Just spoke with Henrietta Gander Mountain and inquired about gift cards since I have a couple. They responded that the bankruptcy has no effect on gift cards and they will still be good.
-
I would do the same thing..Pretty neat having some of the old stuff and finding out what is "worth" now compared to back then.
-
That's pretty cool...The only place I have ever seen/hunted them is up north. They claim they are in the southern tier but I have yet to see one. When we ran them up north they would run for hours and cover a lot of ground. If you didn't get a shot they would take the dogs out of hearing and back again because they don't hole up. (at least up there) Running in a pen I take it?? Good times

Is that a snow shoe?? Sure looks like one

This can be used as a "guide". It all boils down to how much someone is willing to pay: But at least it is free to search and do it from home. http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Keywords=ithaca+37+16
