    Just got in from some state land for a hunt & scout for late bow season weather permitting. Covered a lot of ground after sitting for a couple of hrs. Didn't see a thing or cut any fresh tracks. Went to another section and walked a good part of that also and found were someone gut shot one this morning. It went about 200 plus yards and was dropping more stomach content than blood but they must of got it because I found a gut pile by the rd. WTF. I think I'll take the rest of the day off.

    Decided to try an afternoon sit to test the snow. Saw two come out just before dark and fed in the cut corn two fields away. Saw a flock of turkeys in the same field. Unfortunately the fields are 400+ yards away and I don't have access. Maybe another day. At least the snow is getting manageable.

    Yep same one I hunted out of yesterday. Snow is to deep here. Waiting for a crust to form or a snow melt. Why should I go looking for them when they may come to me.

    I don't think they are moving much. I just watched a big doe come out of the cedars. Took a leak, munched on some browse, and right back in where they bed. Ranged her at 247 yards a little iffy but I am ready if they come a little closer.

    West Bloomfield. I got mine stuck in some deep snow after the storm and got it out by hooking on a tree. Most times it will work but it can be a challenge.

    Happened here last year also. I have a theory on that but it would be a new topic to bring to light probably after the season if I can remember or someone reminds me. Seems to be the trend over the last few years along with seeing more and more deer looking up as though it is a natural thing to do when they never use to.

    It is probably just a glitch somewhere. Lately it has only been giving me one or two at a time and there is SO MUCH to like this time of year

    I ran out yesterday and was only "allowed" a couple today and I did notice someone else commented on the same thing. Is there a way to increase the "limit"?

    If anybody needs some shop lights Runnings is having a pretty good sale on them until the 21st. 4" led 4500 lumen for $19.99. I put three in the basement today and they are pretty nice lights for the money. Very bright.

    Yesterday I had to use snowshoes to get to my stand. The poor neighbor shot a small four point and I couldn't get the four wheeler through to help and they couldn't get a truck back there to get it. It took two of them over three hours to drag it out. I will be waiting for the snow pack to recede before going back out but for now I am kind of liking this type of hunting. I will probably see as much here as I would in the woods but if they happen to cross I will be ready and not have a long drag. Good luck to everyone.
