Good trick!!!! I'll try it for sure!!! Plus chewing helps keep you alert...

Exactly... All I am trying to do is remove all the scent from my clothing... I use scent elimination soap, scent elim. sprays but not thinking "Oh, I don't smell like a human", what the goal is, for me, is to make them think I am either farther away than I am, or was there a long time before.... If the wind changes or gives me away...
-
You must hunt a different part of Ny than I do LOL... wind is always changing.... Hell, sometimes I think it is like Mother Nature is breathing, in and out... wind flowing one direction, then the opposite... I do always try to hunt with the wind, but I find it to be fickle... so trying to do anything I can to help reduce the amount of scent I am giving off..

I use it in a section of my basement that I can open the windows and air the room out... I did research the bad part of ozone... so planned for that... I should have mentioned that in the first part... And I used a "test" material that my old cat had ruined by peeing on it... and it GREATLY reduced if not eliminated the odor... so now to test it on deer...

After seeing all the hoopla about Ozone and scent killing, I decided to look into building my own so a little research and some on line time on Amazon and I got this... Ozone generator and a portable closet...

Maybe this place isn't a forum, it's our version of "Group Therapy".... LOL
-
Started keeping records of Sun rise and set, major and minor moving times, moon overhead and under foot, wind direction, temp and pressure to coordinate with my trail camera pics for the next month...... Yup... Think it's time for me to go to a meeting.... Me... "hi, my name is Scott and I'm obsessed with deer hunting/scouting.... " Group... "Hi Scott"....

Got pics of these two big 8 points, well, big for the area I am in and the land I hunt...
-
I would say depending on back cover, 15' - 20' is a good rule...
-
1 pin set to 28 yards... Aim at the heart from 0 - 28 then mid lung to 35...
-
I'm thinking 3 1/2.... belly is a lot lower towards his hind quarters than a 2 year old's would be... I think any ways..

Wow!!! 2 great bucks.. congrats and good luck!!!

I've been hunting with a T/C Pro Hunter either 338 WM, 30-06, 25-06 or 50 cal. BP for well over a decade, coming up on 2 decades to be honest... I absolutely love the gun....Killed tons of big game with it... Accurate... gives me the confidence to know I can make the shot... killed from 15 yards to over 300....
-
That's a nice feature for sure!!!!! Wish mine would... just to much $$ for those right now...

How often do you check your cameras??? Do you go in scent free??? Do you spray the camera and area down with scent elimination??? Just wondering.... I go in with rubber boots.. Spray my camera down and the tree it's in.... I try to check no sooner than once a week...

good point.... Thanks!!!

Bringing the chainsaw with me when I plant this spot....
-
Just prepped a plot for throw and grow.. I'll keep you posted on that post.... I limed it Sunday.. planting in two weeks..
-
It actually gets great morning light in there.... The pics were taken later towards noon.. but I will try to open it up a bit... Great advice!!!! Thanks.... No.. I didn't rake in the lime, I was figuring the pulverized lime was so tiny the first rain would soak it in... Now I'm thinking it might run off.... UG... Another good tip.... hoping it doesn't run off now...
-
I will be putting my double bull and bone collector blinds out the 27th of this month.... gives them 4 weeks + to get used to them... never had a problem,... .
-
Set up about a 2000 - 2500 sq ft plot, cleared, raked and now limed (40 lbs of pulverized lime)... going to plant in two weeks.. First time I've tried this so I'm hoping I'm doing it right...Any thoughts, comments, corrections??? Putting in throw and grow... planning on spraying it down with water (back pack sprayer) in two weeks... What mistakes have I made??? What can I correct for next time???
