Transgender Military Ban

The higher ups in the ranks are well aware of the problems, but they have to follow the orders from the Commander in Chief. Trump offers hope for sanity. Just imagine if Hillary had won. -

They are, but they're being very selective about who they take. Today, they can afford to be. No more of the Vietnam BS about offering hoodlums a choice between military and jail. the military doesn't want losers anymore. -
I actually got a DMP for 4P. The chart shows it was a very small chance.

We can look at how many active duty military we have that are already above the entry age limit and still serving in combat roles. We can also look at active duty Police and Firefighters above the military cut off age. We can also look at the general population which includes many people very much into physical fitness and cardio vascular activity who are sometimes more capable of physical activity than many America college students are. What kind of stats do we have that prove people who've had sex changes are not more prone to injury? That's not the issue though. If you are going to start looking at individuals on a case by case basis regarding their ability to serve, you should be supporting giving older people a chance to serve, based on whether they can do the job, just like you want to do with trannys. -

I'm almost 62 now, so I am not active duty. Navy from 80-84 after graduating college. I was in Washington, D.C. and never out of the country. People who wanted to serve then were always judged on physical conditions as to their fitness for duty. Today they are still judged on physical conditions. My son was denied entry into the Marines because he had tubes in his right ear until he was 18 and they wanted to wait 2 years to see if the issue was fixed. He wasn't about to put his life on hold for 2 years, especially since the hearing in his right ear wasn't 100% anymore. It didn't matter that many Marines come out of basic training with hearing loss. -

No one is being stopped from serving because of their gender if they qualify to serve. People are being stopped for being gender confused, which is a cause to disqualify. For all who say they support trannys in the military if they can do the job, why are you not protesting the age limit for entry into the military if the older people can do the job? There are many more older men capable of passing basic training and serving well, than there are trannys who could do the job. -
I much prefer this to Obama keeping Holder and Lynch on the payroll when it was obvious they were criminals.

LOL! Tyranny is Tranny when you remove the ability to inject a y into the subject. I crack myself up. -

I am, but that fact is irrelevant and unrelated to the issue. But I can tell you the current attitude of active military personnel. Tranny's are creating issues and hurting morale. Nuff said. -

If they have a medical condition, meaning they need drugs, or even psycho counseling, they do not qualify. It's not a test they can pass. -

The plan was for the military to cover the costs for sex changes after a soldier was taken in. It's elective surgery so it should not be allowed. As far as letting them in the military, nobody has a RIGHT to go into the military no matter how bad you wish to serve. You have to qualify, and there are hundreds of things that you can be disqualified for. Even flat feet get you denied. Transgenders are high maintenance and cannot be coddled in a combat theater of operations. Someone with asthma can't be either. This is not an issue of bigotry or prejudice. This is an issue of military requirements. Those requirements cannot be changed for transgenders without changing them for many other unqualified applicants. That would be preferential treatment, which is so commonly preferred by liberals. Seems standards are always being lowered to meet the demands of the left. That's why we are seeing less and less exceptionalism in America. Welcome to the land of mediocrity and malaise. -

Gender Confusion Pathlogy. Gender dysphoria is classified as a disorder under dual role transvestism. Currently, because of political pressure, the America Psychiatric Assn is talking about changing this from a disorder, to a preference. I suppose homicidal tendencies could also be called a preference if they so desire. -
I was just wondering. What ever happened to the criminal named Corzine? That guy stole billions from NJ taxpayers paying off unions and cronies. Last I heard he lost millions of dollars of investor money in his MF Global hedge fund and when he testified before the SEC he just said he didn't know where it went. I'll bet he is now where it went.

My lifetime license for this year just arrived in the mail yesterday. It says it was printed on 6/2/17. Almost two months prior to me getting it.

More on the Russian connection to the anti-fracking crusade: "With the mainstream media's continuous churning of the Donald Trump/Russia collusion conspiracy, one can easily become callous toward any news related to allegations of actual Russian collusion. But to do so would be to ignore the reality that Vladimir Putin does indeed pose a credible threat to Western nations. And it's not beyond reason to recognize that Putin is still invested in pushing the message of Russian election interference if only to further sow the seeds of division and distrust among Americans regarding the integrity of our electoral system. Leftmedia propaganda outlets are his willing accomplices. Another of Putin's most effective propaganda tools turns out to be environmentalist groups. For several years now the Russians have invested heavily in the anti-fracking crusade, but not out of any high-minded concerns over the environmental impact. Lacking their own resources or technological development, many Eastern European countries have been forced to look to Russia for their fuel needs. But with the development of fracking technology, several European nations have explored using the technology to reach previously untapped energy reserves on their own soil. This poses a threat to Moscow's near monopoly over the regional energy market. For example, in 2012, Bulgaria issued a permit to allow Chevron to engage in fracking. Environmental activists protested, presenting dubious claims of contaminated drinking water and other pollution. Eventually, the Bulgarian government caved to the ecofascists and voted to ban fracking. Guess who swooped in to offer a 20% discount for a 10-year natural gas contract — Gazprom, the Russian state-owned energy company. Putin played a similar game in Romania in the funding of environmentalist groups that were successful in stopping any fracking there. In 2014, several European nations banned fracking after protests prompted then-NATO Secretary General Fogh Anders Rasmussen to warn, "Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organizations — environmental organizations working against shale gas — to maintain dependence on imported Russian gas." Even Hillary Clinton noted that while she was at the State Department, "We were up against phony environmental groups. And I'm a big environmentalist, but these were funded by the Russians to stand up against any effort. 'Oh that pipeline, that fracking, that whatever will be a problem for you,' and a lot of that money supporting that effort was coming from Russia." Russia hasn't stopped its anti-fracking campaign. In 2015, Russia's state-run media outlet produced no fewer than 60 anti-fracking stories purporting to show studies that determined fracking was "dangerous." Recently, two Republican representatives wrote a letter to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin demanding that he investigate a shell company accused of funneling millions from the Russian government to a private environmentalist group — the Sea Change Foundation. The tip of the proverbial iceberg. This is the real Russian meddling story that Congress should be investigating." Gary Alexander

Tax auction land surrounded by state forest
Rattler replied to Curmudgeon's topic in General Hunting
Three sides are Basswood Pond State Forest but the 4th side is privately owned land. I'd talk to whoever owns that side of the land and see if they are planning to buy the land, would be willing to allow access across their land, would sell an easement to it, or anything else that might shed light on the ability to access the property. But, I'll bet whoever that private landowner is, they will be at the auction hoping to get that acreage real cheap. -
For many, it's a competition, like everything else in their lives. Bigger racked deer (truly wild ones) have lived longer and are often the hardest to kill, as they have developed survival skills over the years. They are seen as proof of a hunter's skills by many, but you have to hear the story of the hunt to be sure of this. Many do need peer approval. Unfortunately, hunting big racked deer today can be done on hunts that will guarantee a big racked deer if you wish to pay for it. That's fine for the hunter that wishes to acquire a big buck that way, but it isn't really hunting skill or challenge that gets it. Hunter's who get a big buck this way will often disagree, but I would disagree with them. Today, a man's net worth can takes the place of hunting skills in many cases. I believe each heavy racked deer has to be judged by the hunt that occurred when it was taken. The specifics and details of the hunt are what I judge the trophy by. Just my humble opinion.

I don't see it as anti Trump at all. It doesn't bash Trump any more than Obama, Clinton, Bush and Hillary as far as I can tell. I think this singer sounds too much like Trace Atkins too.

A couple of years ago a Mountain Lion was struck by a car and killed on a highway in Connecticut. I was determined it had traveled through NY state to get there. I think they said it had DNA from lions in the Dakotas. There may not be a breeding population in NY yet, but they are passing through. If they confirmed one was in CT, why would anyone doubt they are in NY?

Your questions are fair, but your answers are incorrect. New gathering pipelines (which are only 18" pipes at most, usually far smaller) can be built under existing right of ways, public roadways, interstate highways, railroad tracks and all manner of public property, much faster and with much less hassle, then using private property. And that's what they do.

That's how a boom works. They don't last forever. They offer big improvements that help out by bringing in money that would've never come in if not for the boom. Smart people don't expect it to last. But smart people also see opportunity that should not be ignored. This type of thing has been going on since the gold mine days of the 1800's. Not everyone knows how to manage these markets, but that doesn't mean they aren't good markets. It may be a one time shot of economic stimulus, but it's better than having no shot. Many people have done very well in fracking markets, and continue to do so. But they don't set up businesses that are completely dependent on them for the future.
