By doing so you throw away your vote by having no impact. You actually help one of the other two main candidates. The best thing you can do is vote for the one that has the most positive points as far as you're concerned, and also vote for Congressional candidates that will work to keep the winner in line with the people's wishes. We are not like Germany and Italy, where a dictatorship is possible, because we have Rule of Law defined by the US Constitution, as long as our representatives do their job and enforce it, which sadly, has not been the case the last 4 years or more. -
Trump's base of support
Rattler replied to Rattler's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I said it's good the small town folks will not be killed, due to the political stupidity of the voters in major metropolitan centers that caused a nuclear strike against the US by supporting Hillary. The metro's support the people that are the biggest threat to our lives. Why should middle Americans be the ones to pay the price for the idiotic portion of the electorate? It's bad enough the small town folks will have to struggle to survive the disaster Hillary will cause. Another good thing though is, the small town folks will be smart enough to fix the country without setting it up to make the same mistake again in the future. It's almost as if the story of Sodom and Gamorrah is about to repeat itself, because human beings didn't get the point the first time. -
Charles Krauthammer: “ON THE CLINTON'S” The Clinton Foundation is "organized crime" at it's finest, and we are financing it! Here is a good, concise summary of how the Clinton Foundation works as a tax free international money laundering scheme. It may eventually prove to be the largest political criminal enterprise in U.S. history and their undoing. This is a textbook case on how to hide foreign money sent to you and re-package it, to be used for your own purposes. All tax free. Here's how it works: 1. You create a separate foreign "charity." In their case one in Canada. 2. Foreign oligarch's & governments, then donate to this Canadian charity. In this case, over 1,000 contributed mega millions. I am sure they did this out of the goodness of their hearts, and expected nothing in return. (Imagine Putin's buddies waking up one morning and just deciding to send un-told millions to a Canadian charity). 3.The Canadian charity then bundles these separate unidentified individual donations & makes a massive donations to the Clinton Foundation. 4. The Clinton Foundation, and the cooperating Canadian charity claim Canadian law prohibits, the identification of individual donors. 5. The Clinton Foundation, then "spends" some of this money, for legitimate good works programs. Un-fortunately, experts believe this is on the order of a mere 10%. Much of the balance goes to enrich the Clinton's, pay "salaries?" to un-told numbers of hangers on, & fund lavish travel, etc. Again virtually all tax free, which means you & I are subsidizing it. 6. The Clinton Foundation with access to the world's best accountants, somehow fails to report much of this on their tax filings. They discover these "clerical errors" and begin the process of re-filing 5 years of tax returns. 7. Net result: foreign money, much of it from other countries, goes into the Clinton's pockets tax free & untraceable back to the original donor. This is the textbook definition of money laundering. Oh, by the way, the Canadian "charity" includes, as a principal one Frank Giustra. Google him. He is the guy who was central to the formation of Uranium One, the Canadian company that somehow acquired massive U.S. uranium interests and then sold them to an organization controlled by Russia. This transaction required U.S. State Department approval. Guess who was Secretary of State, when the approval, was granted? As an aside, imagine how former, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell feels. That poor schlep, is in jail because he and his wife took $165,000 in gifts and loans for doing minor favors for a guy promoting a vitamin company. Not legal, but it didn't exactly put U.S. security at risk. Sarcasm aside, if you are still not persuaded, this was cleverly structured in order to get unidentified foreign money to the Clinton's. Ask yourself this: Why did these foreign interests, funnel money, through a Canadian charity? Why not donate directly to the Clinton Foundation? Better yet, why not donate money directly to the people, organizations & countries in need? This is the essence of money laundering and influence peddling. Now you know why Hillary's destruction of 30,000 e-mails was a risk she was willing to take. Bill and Hillary are devious, unprincipled, dishonest, and criminal. They are Slick! Warning : They could be back in the White House, in January 2017. Do not let it happen. Remember, most people are not well informed. Be inform and educated! Charles Krauthammer God Bless America

Trump's base of support

It's good though, that the small town folks will still be alive if Hillary wins and allows IRAN to nuke all the major population areas. -
Using California as the subject, the author explains why these laws are worthless and accomplish no reduction in crime, yet criminalize many people. Rational Basis? What A Concept The old expression is there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and...statistics. It's a worn expression, but this old saw doesn't adequately describe the disconnect between anti-gun legislation and - wait for it....common sense. Legally, there are other descriptions for what those outside the legal system might call "smell tests" or the simple application of common sense. But the legal descriptors are quite specific. If you're an anti-gun advocate, that's one of those unfortunate situations where emotion just won't erase facts. Despite all good intentions, two plus two really does equal four. Wishing it were three, or five, or any other number won't make it happen. It's just a fact. In the law, there are levels of arguments under which legislation must be examined. In the District of Columbia versus Dick Heller case, the arguments against gun ownership in the District were ferociously argued, but simply didn't pass "strict scrutiny" - the application of specific examination standards. So, the existing law was struck down. Years later, there's still a good case to be made for finding the entire government of the District in contempt of the Supreme Court with their less than half-hearted efforts to comply with the ruling, but the fact of the matter remains that their law was flawed. Now, a paper funded by the Calguns Foundation and the Firearms Policy Coalition indicates that California's "Assault Weapons Ban" fails to pass examination under the "Rational Basis" standard. In the study, author Clayton Cramer exposits the position that "There is no way to hold that AW bans which deny a fundamental right, as Heller determined the Second Amendment to protect, survives the 'rational basis' standard of scrutiny." Under that standard, legislation will pass the test if the court finds it is "rationally related to a legitimate state interest" . Sounds like California Attorney General Kamala Harris could make an argument that banning "assault rifles" could make a case, right? Not exactly. Because the "assault rifle" is, in fact, one of the least used in commission of crimes. Further, the prohibition is arbitrarily applied -at best- and with irrationally long punishment terms- simply because a class of rifle has been deemed politically unpopular. California's Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act of 1989 cites a "threat to the health, safety and security of the public as its justification. In fact, however, it's a tough case to prove -because, Cramer writes, "the banned weapons and magazines were rarely used to commit murders in this country prior to the 1994 ban." He also points out that the California ban calls on rifle names and model numbers, rather than function characteristics. In fact, they're basically undistinguishable from sporting arms that have been used by civilians in the United States for more than a century. Think about it..."semiautomatic detachable-feed magazine" rifles sound just as much like a Ruger 10/22 as they do any "modern sporting rifle". And this isn't some new-found position. In a 1988 memo, one California DOJ official pointed out that "assault weapons cannot be defined in a workable way, by size, caliber, action type or magazine capacity....Unless a realistic definition can be developed for 'assault weapons,' we should leave the issue alone." But, of course, they didn't, choosing instead to criminalize otherwise law-abiding Californians - and chasing much-needed manufacturing out of their state. In his writing, Cramer also points out that there's more than just a bit of bigotry toward the guns, their manufacturers and owners, but that's a point it's not really necessary to make to our readers. You already know the truth of Cramer's argument. Right now, the atmosphere of the entire country is polluted with what is essentially the all-or-nothing extremism of what will likely be the nastiest final few weeks in any presidential campaign in recent memory. But our courts are supposed to be above petty politics. --Jim Shepherd

More info here. Bullets are base style copper. Fills the bill for non-lead ammo, but I don't expect the results you will get from Federal's Trophy Copper loads, which are more expensive. https://www.federalpremium.com/products/details/rifle.aspx?id=1110

Not available in 7mm-08 and only 150 grain in .308. When using copper bullets, you need to go lighter to avoid a longer bullet that may not shoot well from your rifle. I am not sure these have the bullet grooves, or bands around the bullet body, which copper bullets need to lessen friction and keep the bore from getting fouled with copper. Price is reasonable, but it comes with the rebate for now. After that it's still 50% more then standard ammo.

When it comes to government regulation of firearms and hunting, as California goes, so goes every other Democrat controlled state. And when we see a Democrat President in office, we can expect the same California oppression across the entire country, if we fail to stop it.

LOL! There you have it folks, the moron admits that's what Hillary wants. He forgets some people are doing lots of practicing, but they're standing up in a pile of warm brass. Better practice running, because the supporters of tyranny will not fare well after a Hillary election either.

Yes, they are starting to push non-lead ammo in the Regs book. I notice they make no definitive statement about lead ammo other than it "may" do things and not using it "helps" reduce lead risks. They also vaguely discuss costs, comparing them as "similar" to "premium-grade" bullets, without mentioning what "premium-grade" bullets are and what they cost. They then go on to minimize the cost of "expensive" ammo. Kind of like when they say tax increases are only "small" increases. Regardless of the lack of concrete evidence, instead relying on de facto conclusions, it won't be long until they push a mandate to ban lead ammo for hunting. What is on page 38 is a "shot across the bow" for NY hunters. When the unforeseen consequences of that ban become apparent, and likely no improvement in raptor deaths, nobody will take the blame for pushing the agenda from the beginning.

The SAFE Act has not been adjudicated by the Supreme Court of the US yet, so it's constitutionality has not been judged yet. The lower courts have been at odds to date in their decisions on state laws similar to the SAFE Act and only a ruling by the SCOTUS will resolve the issue. That being said, the courts have become quite political and activist in recent years, often violating the Constitution in their opinions. How do you find a "right" to gay marriage in the 14th Amendment but not find arms rights in the 2nd? The abortion "right" was literally created by the court using the "privacy clause" of the 14th Amendment and egregiously extending it to infanticide if done inside the womb. Further proof of the court's corruption is clear when the appointment of Supreme Court Justices is based on their political beliefs, rather than their legal beliefs. Plus, elected official's selection of political peers to fill Justice positions, while attacking sitting Justices who oppose their political beliefs, further proves the Constitution is NOT being adhered to in many cases. Both political parties have been equally guilty of violating their oaths, and the constitution. But in the 2nd Amendment case, Democrats have been the major offenders. Scalia's death was quite a coincidence considering the agenda the court has to handle in the near future. Unless Hillary is prevented from becoming President, the Constitution will be eviscerated and inalienable rights will all be regulated and infringed into obscurity, achieving the long desired leftist goal of unlimited government power. This will be the defining election for the future of America. We will either be able to stand as free people, or live on our knees as subjects for all time.

Even white men are running away
Rattler replied to Uptown Redneck's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The title of this thread says white men are fleeing Trump. Did any of you see all the black folks embracing Trump and running to hug him in Louisiana? Seems the black folks are starting to run towards Trump. I don't see any videos of white men fleeing Trump. Trump will win this election. When he does, all of these idiot leftists will be ignored. Ignore those on here and show your support for making America great again. -
I think Detroit and Chicago have been firmly in the blue for decades. Lib votes cancelled out everything worthwhile in those places. If NY State stays blue, those lib votes will have the same effect on the entire state. These content fools will soon find their contentment was ignorance when the reality of "progressive" policies slaps them hard. Only the trapped or stupid stay in NY. I'm am moving to PA in the near future. However, I hold a lifetime hunting license in NY and some land, so I will return to enjoy the only thing NY has to offer an intelligent man.

Hillary supporters know all about that stuff, but she's told them it's all a vast right wing conspiracy, so they ignore it. The sheep will always follow the shepherd that feeds the flock, even though they know that same shepherd will slaughter them one day. -
Geographically it's great. But politically it sucks. How can anyone enjoy the outdoor offerings in NY state when freedom is so blatantly infringed upon at every turn and taxes and regulations are out of control. Many people who have moved from NY tell me it's not obvious to NY people how bad being a resident of NY State is, until they live in a state that allows you to thrive and be free from all kinds of government oppression.

Ignorance defined: Assuming I'm a Republican, pretending to know the Constitution when you obviously support those who ignore it, lacking a clue about voter ID laws and assuming I ignore IMPORTANT things in my LIFE (not live), of which you are not. You lose the bet. The bet was you never posting on here again. Pay up.
