  1. Looks great. How do you feel about shooting it? Do you find it comfortable or a kicker? I find the recoil to be quite comfortable for the energy provided. Shooting from a bench has more felt recoil than a standing shot too.
  2. None of them supports the 2nd Amendment and probably find this new Canadian tyranny to be to their liking.
  3. I hate to tell you this, but you do not understand why the Electoral College was put in place and why it is needed in this Republic. We are not a Democracy, which becomes tyranny by 51% of the vote and is exactly what brought Rome to it's knees. We are a representative Republic that operates on the Rule of Law. It is your opinion, but if we want to derail this thread discussing it, you may come to realize you are not even 10% right about that subject, but would probably stubbornly adhere to your position out of pride.

  5. I find if people have an interest in the subject, they will continue to read. If not, they won't. If the majority of Americans truly won't read anything past the first 10 words, that would explain why the majority has no idea what is going on. How much can one learn from the first 10 words? Was the shut down a failure? A leaked report out
  6. Joe Biden spent $1.6 million in one day on Facebook ads condemning Trump for fanning the "flames of white supremacy" (The Daily Caller) Meanwhile, Biden calls for Facebook to fact-check and remove political ads (The Washington Free Beacon)
  7. Note: Not GOP vs Democrats. Ideology not politics. The Clear Differences Between the Left and the Right Stephen Moore · Jun. 9, 2020 The crisis of the coronavirus-induced economic lockdown and now the violent protests in the streets have unleashed a depression-level financial crisis and unprecedented human suffering — especially in our inner cities. These events have also exposed a Grand Canyon-sized chasm that now separates how the left and the right see America today. To wit: No. 1: The right believes that stay-at-home orders and social distancing requirements are counterproductive and should be repealed safely and immediately. The left believes that those orders must stay in place but should only apply to those on the right, not to liberal protesters. No. 2: The right engages in nonviolence. The left shows tacit support for mob violence. No. 3: The right believes the best way to revive the economy is to incentivize a dormant workforce to get back on the job. The left believes that the best way to revive the economy is to pay people more money not to work than to work. No. 4: When the right protests against injustice, such as 40 million people losing their jobs due to lock downs, it is always during the light of day so they can be seen and heard. The left protests in the dark so people can’t see what crimes some of the protestors are committing. No. 5: When the right attends rallies, they carry the American flag. When the left protests (and riots), the only American flags you see are burned. No. 6: The right believes there are limits to how much governments can spend and borrow to avoid national bankruptcy and financial ruin. The left believes that trillions of dollars of added spending and debt are advisable and benign. No. 7: When the right holds rallies, the protesters clean up after themselves. When the left protests, they ransack and burn their neighborhoods, spray-paint obscene graffiti and leave a mess of litter and trash everywhere for someone else to clean up. Yet leftists say they are the environmentalists. No. 8: The right stands in support of small-business people’s rights and has been asking businesses like hardware stores, run by immigrants or other minority owners, to open up. The left’s rallies lead to looting and burning down the hardware stores. No. 9: The right believes the best way to get people back to work is by getting money straight to people’s paychecks through a payroll tax cut. The left thinks the best course is to give money to mayors, governors and other politicians. No. 10: The right wants to help prevent racism in urban police forces by firing incompetent and bigoted police officers. The left stands by the unions, which prevent police from being fired. No. 11: The right wants to make America look like Florida and Texas. The left wants the rest of the nation to look like New York and Illinois – which are crumbling from rioting, lock downs, high taxes and an accelerating stampede of businesses leaving the state. Those are the monumentally important choices America faces. This is what the 2020 elections are all about on Nov. 3. COPYRIGHT 2020 CREATORS.COM
  8. "[The claim of 'systemic racism' is] a corruption. It's a corruption because the truth of the matter is, blacks have never been less oppressed than they are today. Opportunity is around every corner." —civil-rights veteran Shelby Steele
  9. Just an example: "Three weeks ago, House Democrats passed the HEROES Act. It was a $3 trillion bailout for bloated, Democrat-run big cities. They called it the 'HEROES Act,' claiming it was intended to prevent police officers, fire fighters and nurses from losing their jobs due to urban budget cuts. Fast forward three weeks and a big part of the Democrat Party is now demanding that we abolish police departments. For many progressives it seems cops went from being heroes to zeroes in three weeks." —Gary Bauer
  10. How many "likes" does huntingny.com allow it's forum users each day? I don't think I use very many but always seem to run out in a very short amount of time. Why is there any limit in the first place?
  11. So you think everything should entail compromise? No matter what is right, you should always compromise? Are you aware the term "compromised" is a pejorative term? Some things must never be compromised. Some things are right 100% of the time. Compromise is acceptable only when it produces a lasting improvement on an impasse. Otherwise, it is of no benefit to anyone. The people who said what I quoted were considered to be brilliant minds. They would pity you for thinking their words were dumb.
  12. And you think that makes things better? Being forced to do something doesn't make it right. You certainly don't seem to have any desire to compromise being judgemental.
  13. Things I've heard about compromise: A compromise is an agreement whereby both parties get what neither of them wanted. All compromise is based on give and take, but there can be no give and take on fundamentals. Any compromise on mere fundamentals is a surrender. For it is all give and no take. To compromise simply means that you go a tiny bit below what you know is right. Compromise used to mean that half a loaf was better than no bread. Among modern statesmen it really seems to mean that half a loaf; is better than a whole loaf. You may either win your peace or buy it: win it, by resistance to evil; buy it, by compromise with evil. And the truest one of all is: A compromise is but an act of Congress. It may be overruled at any time. It gives us no security. But the Constitution is stable. It is a rock.
  14. It's true when people have money to spend they spend it foolishly. If they don't have a lot of money to spend, they improvise. But NY requires people to either have money to spend or do a lot of improvising. I suspect if this virus lock down killed a lot of the upstate economy, NY will see a huge drop off in outdoor recreation, as many people who survived on the small economy upstate had prior to the lock down, will be hard pressed to survive on what's left. So when they look to other states that have better economies and equal outdoor recreation, they will be planning on leaving, especially when they retire and it's easy to do.
  15. Was the shut down a failure? A leaked report out of Germany is causing all sorts of problems for its government and media because it portrays the handling of the coronavirus shutdown as a failure. The 93-page report, "Analysis of the Crisis Management," was written by a team of scientists from several German universities appointed by the Interior Ministry. The scientists take the German government to task on several points. Among them: The danger posed by COVID-19 was overestimated and did not cross a threshold that went beyond normal levels for a new virus. People who died from COVID-19 were statistically more likely to die this year anyway due to poor health and ancillary conditions. The (now 400,000) deaths worldwide due to COVID-19 is eclipsed by the 1.5 million deaths caused by influenza in 2017-18. The COVID-focused German healthcare system has postponed life-saving surgeries and treatments, making the overall health picture in the country worse, not better. The embarrassed German government and its friends in the media there have closed ranks to minimize the damage done by the report. The first move in its damage-control strategy was to shoot the messenger, figuratively speaking. Stephen Kohn, who is identified with leaking the report to the press, has been suspended from duty and is currently having his name dragged through the mud by willing members of the media. Isn't it telling how we're seeing more instances of journalists in Western societies gleefully operating as the lapdogs of government? The report is out there, though, and while German politicians remain committed to burying it and moving beyond the issue, citizens have grown irate about the news, taking to the streets to voice their concerns. This is part of a larger international backlash against governments' imposition of national quarantines and economic shutdowns to contain the virus. The accusation that the total shutdown was an overreaction, or even a government power grab, is one that the federal and state governments are facing here in the United States. Around the country, states have begun shedding draconian virus restrictions, allowing people to move about more freely and businesses to open. Responses to the reopening have been predictable on a scientific and political level. Georgia and Florida, among the first states to ease their quarantine rules, have seen an uptick in the number of confirmed positive cases but a drop in the number of hospitalizations. In both Republican-run states, there are plenty more available hospitals beds than virus patients. Texas has experienced a bigger jump in confirmed cases, but its medical system is currently equipped to handle the case load. All but seven states have rolled back or completely abandoned their quarantine lockdowns. Leftist politicians, who would prefer the lockdown to run indefinitely or at least until President Donald Trump is out of office, have attacked decisions to ease restrictions. The New York Times did its part by producing a hit piece that claimed Georgia's rollback was equal to a racial attack on the minorities who ostensibly would be hardest hit. As one might imagine, no such racial genocide has materialized in Georgia, or elsewhere for that matter. The rise in confirmed cases post-lockdown was widely predicted and expected as people began emerging from their homes and congregating in public again. The surge, however, also comes in the wake of broader testing to identify cases, so it's difficult to determine just how much of a rebound the virus is having. Two separate reports released by the journal Nature and by the Imperial College London put forth the idea that the shutdown prevented an additional 60 million infections in the U.S. and elsewhere. Scientists did find that school closures did not have an appreciable impact on preventing the spread of the virus, but claimed that further study was needed. The timing of these additional reports that essentially praise the quarantine efforts of the federal and state governments is a bit suspect, as much of the data reached in the reports is still in play. There may be a time when we can accurately determine whether the lockdown and the price we paid for it was worth it, but it's too early to tell that now. Leftists are mainly looking for any vindication in their efforts to close down the country, and maybe even an excuse to go back to that at some point. Patriot Post
  16. I don't think it's a spirituality issue so much as a quality of life issue. NY is an expensive state compared to other states, all things considered. For example, our hunting and fishing is great, but the bounty of food would hardly qualify as "free food", when one tabulates all of the expense, taxes and fees we pay in order to partake of the bounty. Annual fees for licenses, equipment taxes, users fees, mandated expenses like steam cleaning your boat, registration fees, sales taxes, etc., as well as long term investments in firearms, fishing equipment, boats, motors, ammo, etc., amortized over many years, are still expenses. I once sat down and started figuring costs and investments involved with my outdoor pursuits, and even though I am pretty frugal with my expenses, it still added up to a lot of money involved every year to pursue my passions. It's spent over the years on a payment basis, and some could be recouped if I decided to quit and sell my assets, but it is far from free. I sincerely think the expense of hunting and fishing's start up equipment, along with the government fees and taxes required to get into it, is one of the main barriers for people who consider taking up outdoor pursuits. Sure, one can get started with next to nothing, but to really be successful in outdoor sports and really enjoy them because of the success, one always has to spend money for more and better equipment, and the money the state demands from us every year keeps going up too.
  17. What is so great about either one of them? Both are bankrupt and going down the tubes.
  18. Saying he would die for that tyrant is a stupid thing for him to say. He may have been elected, but that just proves what an idiotic electorate Canada has. He's not a leader, not a statesman, not a man of the world and not courageous. He panders to leftists at the expense of freedom and liberty with a false promise of security. He's a man child of the highest order that shouldn't be allowed to play with matches. He won because he's a girly man and there are more women voting in Canada then men, regardless of their genitalia. It will not come to America so easily. We will not comply. And if they push it hard enough, we will push back. Our government knows this and is being very smart about trying to implement it. One law at a time, death by 1000 cuts and small steps that will eventually lead to the government standing on your chest. Refuse to comply with ANY of it, or you will find yourself losing everything. Shockey should have been speaking out long before this clown shoved this tyranny up his rectum.
  19. Nobody agrees with CNN's polls. Even Hillary knew they were BS in 2016, but figured the masses were stupid and would go with the polls to be on the winning side. I'm not familiar with any cease and desist order, but if he has proof the numbers are fraudulent, he's not fighting a disagreement, he's fighting a lie. The only poll that matters is the one on election day, and that's only if we can be sure it's integrity hasn't been compromised by fraud. The reason the left is attacking voter ID, pushing mail in voting and elimination of the electoral college is to destroy confidence in our elections so they can contest every one they lose, as well as attack Trump if he loses and can prove the election was fixed against him. The biggest threat to our Constitution comes from the side that has said it is outdated and needs to be re-written, while attacking every part of it and ignoring it's limitations on government. That's the left side, the Democrat side. The Rule of Law is despised by Democrats. They are always advocating Rule of Men, where they get to decide what the rules are, apply them differently to different situations and people, and change them anytime they feel it will gain them more power and more votes. If they ever gain enough power to implement their leftist agenda and eliminate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, a very large portion of the country's citizens will finally decide they are truly enemies of the people and there will be blood. The founders warned us it could happen and advised us to be ready to revolt if it did. That is what you will get with your support for Democrats. Oh and BTW, Trump promotes "Nationalism", meaning love of America by all of it's citizens, not "White Nationalism". That one word has been fed to you by leftist propagandists and you've swallowed it.
  20. I love how you ignore the facts in the message because you don't like the messenger. Yet leftist celebrities are lauded over. Russell is making a valid point. Deal with it if you can. I understand why you ask where you find this, because the main stream leftist media sure as hell doesn't tell anyone about it.
  21. Trump's plan after re-election is an unknown. The Democrats plan is well know. They've told us again and again.
