Normally I was told by others they don’t put them on their dogs till November but him being a pup still I wanted him to get use to it. Anyway pulled the plug. Had to throw him some bumpers so he wouldn’t leave me for another group of SUCCESSFUL hunters

    Finally got my dog out for his first hunt. He has been training very hard all summer and today was for him to put that to the test . Conditions were lousy and only managed to get 2 groups of birds to work the spread, not much for flights. Cooper held very steady in his blind for a 18 month old. Around 8:30 had a hen and drake wood duck cup perfectly and a 1 shot at the back drake send him down. Cooper waited to be released and then launched out of his blind like a track star. He didn’t take the straightest of line To get to him but I won’t beat him up for his first. Anyway I was able to get pics and a video of his first retrieve and taking the Woodie to the taxidermist as I have my other dogs first bird done when she was alive .

    Mine similar to tree guy. Wash scent free, scent free dryer sheet, ozone closet then ozone bag till I park . I want to get a machine and I’ve hunted with one before. I just can’t spend that much coin on one. I need someone to make a knock off once the patent runs out to bring the cost down

    I seen the video on Instagram at his funeral his son and about 25 others All with goose/duck calls just All blowing a cadence as a tribute. I have 2 of his goose calls and have always been favorites of mine.
