  1. That's awesome! it's great when an animal is recovered when potentially lost.
  2. I'm a scope man for sure. I think my marlin 22 from when I was 14 is the only gun I don't have a scope on.
  3. That's a big bear. I would say 280-315 lbs.
  4. Thanks Vinny, very good point. The biggest bucks for record book stats for all of NY usually come from downstate or Western NY for example Steuben and Livingston County.
  5. That's an amazing buck for sure. It is hard to age him. He doesn't appear to have swayed back and his nose doesn't appear to have too much of a roman characteristic. I'm guessing 4.5 yrs. old. That's a fine whitetail for sure. That one picture states its 7:41 AM if that's the case there would be car wrecks up here from people rubber necking at that giant.
  6. Nice bear pics. I would say that bear is fairly younger. Slender neck and body. Let it walk in my opinion but who am I.
  7. This weather is unbelievable for sure. I can't complain after this last winter. I would have to say this weather is about a month behind.
  8. I Have hunted in Ohio a few times. I'm totally for the one buck rule.
  9. That's a great deer and probably only a 3.5 yr old as stated above.
  10. Coyotes are tough and quite resilient animals. I hunt them with a shotgun using 3" #4 loads for thick cover calling. I also use a Ruger carbine .44 magnum for cover calls. I use various rifles also nothing less than 223. Your gonna have have run offs with those light calibers unless your primarily gonna be taking head shots. Don't use anything less than a 223. if going for vital area shots.
  11. That's a cub as stated above let it walk without a doubt.
