There is an Islamic compound in Hancock , New York. I've seen their members at the Subway/Gas Station on a few different occasions during the last couple of years. They looked like they were straight out of Afghanistan. -

Sweet find.......love the old coinage from years ago. I have a few indians,flying eagles and large cent pennies. My favorite is still the Morgan silver dollars from Carson City. Coin collecting gets very addictive and expensive .

Your making fantastic progress on your euro mount . I give you credit because I bet the smell would have gagged a maggot . Did you prop up the deers head in the first photo or was that the way you found it ? The reason I ask is because it appears to have bedded down in thick cover, possibly after being wounded during deer season . Thanks for sharing and continued success in your euro mount . -

I have never made any claim that black panthers exist in North America , let alone New York state. I was simply responding to the claim that the large percentage of the mountain lion sightings were black. A black panther is typically a melanistic color variant of several different species of large cats, whether they be jaguars, leopards and in very rare circumstances tigers. I hope this helps.

I have no idea where the black ones come from that you claim make up a large percentage of sightings...............but their not mountain lions.

So I guess your saying that was the only mountain lion that has "wandered" in from out west and that there are no others in the state ? Do you think there could be others that are just passing through and not necessarily residents ? You don't think there could be ONE mountain lion anywhere in the Northeastern US right now ? I'm only asking because you have a tendency to ridicule others who have claimed to have seen one.
