Corona Virus Thread
Elmo replied to Al Bundy's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
You just literally posted an article that states hydroxychloriquine isn't proven. The conclusion at the bottom of your article. "All of this is to say that the science is not yet settled. It is an open question as to whether hydroxychloroquine in combination with any number of other drugs may have a beneficial effect on the disease course of COVID-19." So everyone, have no fear, go a head and get exposed because we have a drug that isn't fully tested that may or may not save you. -
I'll be down for some bows and beer.

Corona Virus Thread
Elmo replied to Al Bundy's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Nobody is allowed? Tell me which all mighty omnipotent group has such power? The WHO? First off, Brazil is still using it. UK used it a lot in the beginning but stopped when they did their own research as well. When their entire economy and lives are at stake, what country is going to listen to anyone else blindly and not also conduct their own research? I don't know but don't you find it kind of odd that all these countries who's economy are also being decimated, lives are being lost by the thousands, and yet Brazil is the only country that is willing to defy whatever governing world authority you think is banning this drug? I mean, heck, according to western media, when was the last time Russia and/or China ever followed the rules? But yet all of a sudden they're afraid of the WHO? -

The entire world must be in cohorts too then because they're not using it either after further studies. -
I saw one that opened up a deer's belly, ripped out a near full term fetus, and ate the fetus while while the mother deer was still alive.

Komodo's have poisonous saliva that other monitors don't have so that helps them. PS: Oh...Gila Monsters are poisonous too.

Was also banking on his bad year followed by good year sequence. So far he is about to break that cycle with two consecutive bad years.

New hunter hoping to still-hunt the Catskills this season
Elmo replied to BKowal's topic in Introductions
Layers. It's cold in the morning and towards the end but temps heat up mid day. Also hot when hiking in but cold once you're sitting there motionless for hours. -
You guys and have Porcello back. We insist.

New hunter hoping to still-hunt the Catskills this season

First off, welcome to hunting and the forum to the OP. Second. I've been "lost" before when I left my compass at home and wandered into an area where I couldn't get satellite reception. Learn the compass and always bring one as a backup. -
Happy birthday!

Less we forget, we're in a trade war with China at the moment. I ordered a face mask and a pair of shorts almost 3 months ago. Still haven't received them. When I checked, it was shipped out a week after I ordered them. I'm told everything coming from China is being "quarantined" before being released. Crazy considering the virus doesn't survive more than 3 days tops on a hard surface.

I'm pretty sure they said gout but that was like 25 years ago.

After high school I got a job as a zoo keeper at the Bronx Zoo. I worked in the herpetology department. My guidance counselor hooked me up because he knew the director there. They drugged it up and then threw a towel over it's eyes. Gators and crocs calms down a bit when you cover it's eyes. Then a bunch of us jumped on it's back to tie it up. I was assigned the tail. I think they did it as a prank because it was only a few months into the job and I was maybe 140 lbs at most at the time. Big guy stayed calm though. After the year I realized as much as I loved animals, I kind of like money too so off I went to college.

Egg a tad bit over cooked for my liking but still within range of being perfect. Nice job!

I had to help remove gout from the back of the neck of a 12 foot gharial once. It was at the top of it's neck at the base of it's skull. When they cut it open, it was like feta cheese. The vet scoop it out with a spoon.
