  2. No fans to boo the Astros! They totally lucked out.
  3. No ActiveTrack with the drone following the car?
  4. Based on the golf results, we already know that Jerkman is going to talk a big game, show up in some spiffy bowling shoes and then hit the gutter several times.

  6. Moderna has gotten positive results back from their phase 1 of the vaccine.
  7. I heard the other day that the MTA is also taking a major cut. I wonder if they're just announcing the police budget cuts just to appease the crowd but in reality, with the economic hit, they were planning on having a budget cut anyway....as with every other sector? Just wondering. I didn't look into it.
  8. Means we now have to wait for them to flatten out before economy can fully recover? Guys are wrong to think the "doomsayers" are not concerned about the ramifications of an economic collapse. I for one is very afraid. My logic is that if everyone had buckled down together, we would already have been out of it already into and on our way to a full economic recovery. Instead, we prolonging this thing. Europe got the virus maybe 2 or 3 weeks before us tops and they're now opening up for tourist while we're facing a potential second lockdown. The chart up @left field presented shows that NYS followed most of the recommendations and flattened the curve in about 100 days from first initial cases. Looks like Florida is facing a massive surge beyond what NYS ever had 100 days AFTER their initial cases.
  9. The Covid being the same as the flu is like jumping out of a plane. Except one has a parachute (vaccine, OTC meds) and the other doesn't. I assure you, reaction towards covid-19 would be completely different if we can stop by our local drug store and pick up some Thera-Covid.
  10. In the beginning, no one really knew what was the best way to handle it. I would hope after a few months and a couple of mistakes we have a better hang of it by now.
  11. Countries like India, Brazil, and pretty much the entire continent of Africa is so overwhelmed that they essentially gave on testing. If I have to trust one country to keep accurate data then I'd put my faith in the US. According to the CDC, 32,000 died from the flu in the US in the 2018/2019 season. 61,000 in the 2017/2018 season which was high. Where as C19 is at what? 138K and counting?
  12. I dumped everything except for Disney and Exxon. Disappointed I didn't make as much as I could have but things will fluctuate like crazy for a while and when things dip, cash on hand is key. I'll wait a bit to jump back in on things.
  13. And you think a country with 10 million people over 170K sq miles has "similar population densities" as a country that's 110K sq miles but with over 60 million people or the same number of "concentrated areas"? Why? Stockholm has less than 1 million people.
  14. Sweden is 173860 square miles with a population of 10.23 million people. Comes out to roughly 59 people per square mile. Italy is 116347 square miles with a population of 60.36 million. Roughly 519 people per square mile. There were 5526 deaths in Sweden. 1 per 1851 people. 34945 in Italy. One per 1727 which yes is slightly higher (7% higher). But with a country that is almost 10 times less dense and you have close to the same amount of death rate?
  15. NY was one of the first hit. Early on when people did not know as much as they do now. Mishandling it now is less excusable then it was back then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The argument that more cases are as a result of more testing. Oddly, the states with the most recent surge are some of the least tested. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-testing.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Only my man, Pete Alonso, can hit 28 home runs in a 60 game season but even he will be hard pressed to play in 115 games this year.
  18. If he sits out he's not a free agent at the end of the year. He said so himself in his last press conference when they asked him about David Price sitting out for the year.
