Right after the shooting occurred, Obama comes out and states that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin thus implying the kids youth before all facts had been laid out. Rather than doing the sensible thing as the president and urging the public to have faith in the very judicial system that he serves. You know...something along the lines of "This is a tragic event and my heart goes out to the family of Trayvon Martin. I am sure the Sanford Police Department are doing the best they can and in court, truth and justice will prevail."
-
So Obama is to blame for what's happening in LA. http://www.myfoxla.com/video?autoStart=true&topVideoCatNo=default&clipId=9096110#.UeTbW8-LQUA.twitter

Reverse racism exists. Not enough people are aware of that.

Call Sarah Connor. Quickly!
-
He also said "He's not human. He's like a piece of iron."
-
Bruises and abrasion on Trayvon Martin's knuckles which are consistent with punching someone part of the evidence. That I know for a fact. Not sure if any other injuries were submitted.

We are a country of innocent until proven guilty....but the public had Zimmerman guilty from the start. The trial was a formality. I'm pretty sure a good number of people who are crying travesty never actually followed the trial. I personal know a few of them so I know some people are like that. These very people also rely so heavily on the media and believe the media won't distort information to sell more papers and everything is discovered by the newspaper. If it wasn't printed, it didn't happen. They also believe every one is a racist. The entire Sanford police department who knew from the beginning there wasn't enough evidence to charge Zimmerman but charged him when they were pressured by the public. The 6 jurors who heard the entire case only took a day and a half to find him not guilty. I've been a juror who spend 5 days deciding on a case and we ended up in a hung jury. But of course there are a bunch of people who only heard a couple of things read a couple of papers and all of a sudden they know more about the case than those 6 jurors.

Basic Hunting Gear for Suffolk County
Elmo replied to Lord of War's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Wear gloves and a face mask. I wear a camo jacket (a light jacket will more green foliage and a thicker browner one for when it's colder.) My pants are military digital camo my bro gets me from the army. I spray myself with some odor killer, bug spray, but mainly I play the wind. Keep in mind the deer are for the most part color blind so as long as you break up your pattern, you find. Imagine watching a bunch of grey static and all of a sudden you see this big white blot in the shape of a human being. Or gray static but a white circle (your face) and 2 white hands floating in the air. That's sort of what the deer is seeing if you don't break up the pattern. Deer are also designed to pick up the slightest movement so stay still. -
Zimmerman should have just stayed in his car and did as the 911 dispatcher told him to do. Instead, he felt he needed to take a little bit of the law into his own hands. It was a real jacka$& move. But totally legal. It is not against the law to follow someone and approach him and ask him some questions. Trayvon was a wanna be thug but he was followed by some creep at night. I could understand putting in a pre-emptive strike and then running but it's also against the law to just beat up someone because they look like a creep and is following you. What happened that night was a jacka$% ran into a low life and one ended up dead and the other's life is forever ruined. But legally, Zimmerman (based on evidence provided) didn't break any laws.
-
Zimmerman's father was an ex-judge or something like that. They're not broke.
-
A lot donations came in to pay for the defense for both ends.
-
Is it wrong to follow and harass someone, yes. Is it illegal? No. Is it wrong to start punching someone because he was creepy, following you, and started talking to you in a harsh tone? No. Is it illegal? Yes. Whether Zimmerman is found guilty or not, I don't know. I am not on the jury so I have not heard the whole defense. The only snippets I've heard are what the bias media is feeding me and that is not pure enough to make a sound decision on this case. I understand and I've seen first hand how our law system can be flawed but being on the outside looking in on this case, I have no choice but to assume the jury will make the right decision. Guilty or not.

Congratz, Red. A friend of mine got snipped after his 2. Said it was the best decision he's ever made.

I use a diving sac to store my food and hang it off a branch away from my tent. I figure if a bear did get to my food then it was time to call the trip short and head out. As far as dogs go, I don't know. I have a Maltese and she's useless. (Well, she did help me get a few phone numbers when I was single).

So it's a recommendation...not an official law. I carry my tags along with other park specific permits all in my tag holder.

Hey, Ricpac. Sorry if I missed this earlier. If you're still in need of one let me try and find my spare one. I know I didn't toss it. I'm in your area. Let me know if you still want it. -

Stewart is not bad for new hunters who are trying to get their feet wet. Yes, it is ridiculously crowded during deer season and when there's a pheasant release but during small game season, it's not that crowded. You can find spots away from the mountain bikers and hikers. Stewart is divided into "lots". Hunters generally respect each other and when they see that there's already a hunter in that "lot", they leave him/her alone and find another "lot" to hunt. Pretty much every hunter I've bumped into at Stewart has been friendly. We greet each other, share some chit chat, some tips, etc. Not a bad spot to get started as long as you play friendly and respectful of other hunters.

Vince, after rereading some of your post, I'm starting to get a clearer picture but I could be wrong so let me know if I'm accurate or not. I think you want to full outdoor experience. Go out camping, hunt your food during the day, cook it over a fire at night, sleep in the tent type of experience. The problem is there are not places you can do that near NYC. You have to go deeper into the ADK and Catskills to do so. Pretty much every place within an hour or 2 of NYC close off camping during hunting season. I believe the reasoning is for safety. Also, I would imagine a camper with a fire will pretty much scare off any animals and ruin hunting for any/every one else in the area. Since the prime hunting season is fall/winter, I'm not so sure how safe it is to lug a 2 and 4 year old deep into the ADK for an over night stay. Maybe you can eventually get to that point.

No firearms allowed in Sterling till Nov. 1st (that includes airguns). Bows are allowed in Sterling the start of archery season but must be off roads and trails and away from general hikers. No centerfire or rimfires allowed in Stewart State Forest. Fahnstock allows limited (restricted by time and location) bow hunting of deer only.

That's the point. In the country side, you're either into it or your not bit you at least know about it. For those in the city, it's a completely untouched market of potential hunters who many don't even realize such a thing is accessible to them but now more and more are being exposed to it than ever before.

Welcome aboard, Vince. Another city guy, huh? On of the fastest growing hunter populations. The outdoors is great for the body, mind, and soul. Good to see you're taking the interest and looking out for your kids. I'm from the Bronx myself.
