I never preheated the pan. I use a dusting of flour on the inside of the pan them make the pizza right in the pan. I usually cook it at 425 and it takes about 25 min to get a golden brown crust. The flour just helps make sure the crust does not stick which it never does. Better than using an oil or butter in my opinion and you don't taste it.

Buy one you wont regret it!

I love cooking with cast iron. I have a cast iron pizza pan as well. It makes the best crust ever. Fluffy, crispy and the toppings are always cooked perfectly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have two arriving this week. After hearing about how good they where on this forum and talking to@turkeyfeathers I just had to get them. They will be mostly used at the house and on our camping trips. The one I ordered looks like a small thermos so that one can also be used to hit the woods with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s just what I’ll do. Get it patched for this year. The only time it ever leaked was when we had one of those 60 mpg heavy rain storms since then it’s been fine under normal conditions. Thanks for all the input and I can’t believe how many have been dropped after a claim. My wife was in an accident just over a year ago. Not her fault as some one rear ended her while at a red light and Liberty Mutual has been fantastic working with and for us. The SUV was repaired in just a few days and some medical bills got paid including her missed time off work and mileage. Now I know they just flipped that expense onto the other persons insurance but it still was a good experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep. Lock it up. It serves zero purpose at this point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I figured they would either do nothing or do just a patch repair which would not be worth using insurance for. This thread just confirms my suspicion. I’ll pay someone to patch it then get it done next year. I know a few reasonable roofers in my area what won’t kill me on price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's next years big expense. Just trying to make the roof last one more year and it will get done in the spring. I'm prepping for worst case of a complete new roof. Plywood, shingles, fascia, gutters and downspouts.

Ummm first you say your hood got shot with a .308 then say don't ask? nah nah nah that ain't happening.... So whats the story behind that one? Lol
-
That’s the type of story I hear over and over again and the reason why I almost want to avoid calling the insurance company all together. We pay for insurance yet for homeowners at least it seems impossible to actually use it with out it backfiring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does anyone have any experience with home owners insurance? All the wind storms throughout the winter ripped about 8-10 shingles off our roof in all different spots. The roof has at least 2 layers of shingles on it not sure if it’s more because the house is new to us. I was just wondering if it would be worth the time and effort to try home owners or if the damage is small enough that it wouldn’t be covered. And no I’m not fixing it myself. Full 2 stories and me no likey heights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
