  1. Magic hour people! My crazy woods from this morning has gone dead silent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Possible button at 16 yards. I hope to get a second chance at a buck this afternoon within the next 3.5 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Just had another young decent buck cruise by. Came from the same direction as the one i screwed up on except this time he took the direction that I expected and passed by at 75 yards. He had no interest in my grunt calls. Maybe next one I’ll beat at. Today’s totals are 5 shooter bucks. 2 doe and 2 spike. This might go down as one of my best yet most depressing days in the woods for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’m not going anywhere now. I packed for an all day sit just in case. Besides I’m so dejected by my stupidity I don’t think I even have the energy to climb down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. All hell just broke loose a little after 9. I was watching 2 spikes come in behind me when I hear a doe blow in front of me. As I’m trying find her the Woods exploded! 200 yards away 2 bucks are pushing each other around making more noise than I’ve ever heard before. It looks like they separate and this tall 8 comes out of nowhere tracking right towards me. I should have anticipated my shot opportunity better and been at full draw when he was 50 yards out. I would have had a broadside shot at 30 yards 10 yards before he was off the property. I was to slow though and he stepped across the property line before I could even draw back. I grunted at Him and turned around but only briefly. He was breathing heavily so I think he was mixed up in the fight and didn’t want to go another round. After he disappears I catch a much bigger buck pushing a doe around. I let out some aggressive grunts but he didn’t want to leave her. Good news is I might have a hot doe in the area. Bad news is she’s was 200 yards out and I’ve lost sight of them. I’m really kicking myself for not being more ready for that buck. That should have been an easy shot. 6. Oh for sure. Earliest I’d get out of the woods is 11am. My debate is for after that. Just stay in this stand or hunt a different stand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. An ok start to the day. A nice buck at sunrise that made an eighty yard loop around me then about fifteen minutes ago a doe ran behind me. I’m debating on what to do for the afternoon. I can do an all day sit here inside the woods or I can go in for lunch and hunt a field edge for the afternoon. Tomorrow’s weather looks like a wash out so I’m leaning towards an all day sit. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Ok deer gods, here’s the deal while I’m super grateful for the season you have given me let’s be honest with ourselves it’s only been so so. Sure early in the season you sent deer my way and I failed us on my end but the last 3-4 weeks haven’t exactly been all sunshine and Roses. Hardly a deer seen and nothing in range. You know me well enough I don’t ask for much I stay out of trouble eat my vegetables and take my vitamins. All I ask from you today is a nice doe or buck in range. Deal? 9. And now him and Trump are in a pissing match like a pair of 5 year olds. Pathetic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Saw a monster walking the sidewalk in a small Williamsville neighborhood at 6:30 on my way home from work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thank you to all the Veterans that have served our great country and have afforded us the rights we still have today. I owe you a debt of gratitude that I fear I will never be able to repay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Today seems like an ideal day to move a stand this late in the season
  13. I couldn’t agree with you more. If possible I would want to replicate how he looked in the woods before the shot was taken. This way every time you look at him your reminded of that day even more and the sacrifice he made to put food on your table. I wanted you to look at the wall pedestal because they do come in a lot of poses and I do personally think they add another dimension to them making the mount more life like than a standard shoulder mount. But I also realize everyone is different and has their own taste. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Huh. Resolved peacefully and respectfully. Maybe your not as bad as Tacs and Jay say you are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Happy Birthday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Google Wall Pedestal Mount Please. @TreeGuy turned me on to that mount and honestly it just throws another dimension into it makes it seem even more life like.
  17. Magic day indeed, today marks the one year anniversary of my first bow kill and I believe you encouraged me by saying the 10th is your magic day. I hope you tip one over today!
  18. A guy on our property has a Polaris Ranger SxS. Uses it year round for just about anything you can imagine. Sxs is what I would be looking at if I was in your shoes.
  19. That's the biggest smile I've ever seen you have!!!! I'm sure the taxidermy bill will change that. Lol
  20. Fantastic experience and write up. Reminds us all what it’s all about and how it started for us. It’s easy to forget how much fun hunting is when your 5 weeks into the season and some of that excitement has worn off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Congratulations!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. For a non hunter and first time in the deer woods in a tree stand she did great. We sat, talked and relaxed. Those dang squirrels kept tricking her though! In the end we saw one lone deer making its way 100 yards past us a few min before sunset. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Slammer bud! Now the important question. Wall pedestal, shoulder mount, sneak, semi sneak, facing right or left? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
