  1. LOL, no, but if I am hauling a deer out or taking a disabled person on a hunt, or something like that, Id like a spot to secure a bow or maybe two.
  2. Nah Im not worried about 2 bows, but 2 might fit. I already found a 2 gun case that I will use. It sone of the bag style ones that goes behind the headrests. The bow Id like to be able to keep under the roof though, just more protection I think. Theres a few mounts for bows that would go behind the headrests, but Id be worried about tree branches or something hanging up on it.
  3. What are you guys using for bow mounts? Im ideally looking to have mine attached up under the roof on my Viking. Preferably held horizontally for maximum head room and protection for the bow. I tried being cheap and just using bungee cords but couldnt make it easy and secure enough.
  4. It will not be team based this year. It will be very similar to the turkey contest
  5. Nope, not to ALS and I dont plan to. I donate to other charities, ones that I want to donate to, not ones that people peer pressure me into.
  6. I donate to the charities and organizations i see fit. Yes its good to raise awareness, but id bet most people dont donate, they pour water on themselves and throw it on facebook, nominate more people and thats it. My hats off to those that actually donated, weather they soaked themselves or not.
  7. Hahahaha its not really that bad of a thing, just cold water. I think the point of it is narcissistic and absurd. If you really give a darn about the ALS foundation, then pay the money, dont pretend like you do and pour water on yourself just to get out of it, and bring attention to yourself.
  8. Dan, people are challenging others to dump ice water on their heads and video it or pay $100 to the ALS foundation. I have been nominated 3 times now. Im still not playing.
  9. The carpet in the truck is comfy right?
  10. I refuse to do it. Bah humbug lol
  11. Do some more reading on the different gps studies that have been done. Its enlightening stuff
  12. Stopped down to the farm to swap camera cards and check the plots. Plots are doing well, heres a few pics. First one is the Turnips, Winter Peas plot. Just a close up of the peas. Next is the Evolved Habitats Great Lakes Mix. The seed is a few years old but is doing well. Its the same as their current 7 Card Stud mix minus the oats. Last is the Rape and Hog Radish plot. Got a few good bucks on one of the cams. One shooter and a couple of up an comers. Did yard work today, but got my sprayer working (replaced lines and wiring). Should serve my purposes. Then got some shooting in with the kiddos. My daughters first shot at 20 was smokin! She backed it up with 10 more within the heart area.
  13. Im looking to find more details on this one, but it sounds like the finding are pretty consistant with the rest of the GPS studies that I have read about. Moon schmoon. http://naturalpursuitoutdoors.blogspot.com/2014/08/new-gps-research-reveals-buck-movement.html?fb_action_ids=855005391178804&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%5B673156592762295%5D&action_type_map=%5B%22og.likes%22%5D&action_ref_map=%5B%5D
  14. The stands i accounted for are stands that the main group of us hunt. Theres 6 of us. There are about 8 or 10 others with permission, but rarely hunt there anymore.
  15. Im seeing a good mix. Bunch of yearlings, 5 or 6 good 2 year olds, 5 3 year olds and a few 4+ year olds. Still waiting to catch a pic or glimpse of the old man of the property, which would be 7 or 8 this year if he made it through winter. I know he made it through deer season last year, but havent seen him since.
  16. Between 2 farms, and just shy of 1000 acres, we maintain 30 to 40 stands and ground blinds. We are adding to it every year.
  17. As has been said, boresights work great if you use them after you have already sighted in. This write up explains it very well. http://www.shootingsoftware.com/borescopes.htm
  18. Lol I don't know if you'll fit in it. It's te regular version made for us short guys hahaha.
  19. I have a lot left. I need to make some more Italian sausage and a couple of other things like jerky and whatnot. I really need to get my darn buck head over to the taxidermist so it's not taking up all the room in there anymore lol.
  20. I have a Summit Viper SS that just hangs in my garage not being used. Its in great shape, and includes an adjustable tether strap, backpack straps, etc. everything you need to get going. This is the aluminum version, so its nice and light. $175
  21. Great strings, i have them on my bow.
  22. The only things I need will be ammo and stands, as long as nothing breaks. Im pretty well set on gear.
  23. I moved it to the proper forum, you should have gotten a notification unless you have those turned off.
