Have her create an account. -
I bought this a couple of years ago, but havent used it much. I bought it mostly to use with my climber, but I dont use that anymore. Rather see someone be safe than have it collect dust. $50 plus shipping

This is a set of Tree Stand Up ladder stand anchors. They work great for putting ladder stands up by yourself. They act like an extra guy holding the ladder in place while you walk it up into position. I just dont use them anymore, as i moved over to mostly hang on stands. $15 plus shipping

Eventually i will, but not this year. I am having shoulder issues but not bad enough to make it a priority or quit my compound.

When do you stop entering the woods before the season opener?
WNYBuckHunter replied to SteveNY's topic in Deer Hunting
I hunt working farms. Human activity is the norm and we work on things until they are ready. We all have lives outside of deer hunting, so it gets done when we can get it done. The deer are pretty accustomed to equipment, etc, so the one thing we try to do, is stay on the equimpent as much as we can, especially if we are not in a typical working area of the farm. We are just about done with things now, and we can finish up what we need to do on any of our stands, when we hunt them. Mostly we need to replace or add some haul lines, etc. Now, if i was hunting mostly undisturbed areas, i would go about things differently. -
Exactly. I posted it on here a couple of times in the past. Actually a thread on here prompted me to write them about it. The Encon officer I emailed with seemed just as frustrated by it as I am.

Wonder if they thought this would happen?

I bought my license this past week. First time ever I didnt buy all of it. Skipped on the fishing, so it cost me less. I just dont have time for fishing these days, and if I do go, Ill just go online and add it. The process was easy online once you got started. -
Good luck with the knee Grow. Let us know what UTV you end up with, they are awesome. I absolutely love mine, makes tasks around the farms so much easier.

So I had to go do more work yesterday. Moved 2 stands that needed it, and checked the straps on all of the gun stands. We checked the plots, and they have been hitting the brassicas hard already. We discovered the Ground Hog Radishes are already 8 to 10 inches long, and the deer are yanking them and eating them. Turnips are developing nicely too. At this point we just have to place our Posted signs at the roads, and everything is done. Time to start getting my gear ready for my first bow hunt! -
First Day / Few Days for the Bow Season - What are you going to do?
WNYBuckHunter replied to burmjohn's topic in Bow Hunting
Ill be dropping the first mature buck or good size doe that comes my way. After that, the pressure is off, and if its a doe I take first, then Ill be horn hunting until gun season, or when I hunt the one farm with the DMAPs. -
I asked that very question of the DEC a year or two ago. Lemme see if I cant find the email they sent me....

10X Hunting Gear Any Good??
WNYBuckHunter replied to 88GW's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I had some 10x insulated bibs and a jacket. It lasted 2 years and then the zippers started breaking on both pieces. I wouldnt buy it again honestly. -
My venison project for this week....
WNYBuckHunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
My recipe is the same as Culver's, I just add a little more spice to it. The cheese is awesome in there. I actually need to go get some casings and stuff and do a batch of these to use up some of the meat I have left from last year. -
Its normal. I used to see them with spots once in a while during bow season before it started Oct 1.

I seem to remember paying for them for the last couple of years. I could be mistaken. Regardless, its not a new thing this year. I think part of the issue may be the way the license structure is this year. It used to be easy to go in and say I want everything, now you have to list it all out. Not a big deal to me, but I have heard plenty of guys complaining about it. -
Most crossbows arent much faster than a compound bow anyway. The only real advantage is not having to draw, but you still have to move to get into position and aim, so you dont gain much. You lose on the ability to take a second shot. Ill wait to buy mine until people start getting disenchanted with them once they figure out they arent like a gun.

Stopped down yesterday to do a final run through of stands, lanes, etc before the season starts. Didnt get a whole lot on cams the last 2 weeks. Scrapes are really starting to open up, and i freshened up a couple of them while i was there. Cams were moved to plots and scrape locations. I have one stand left to trim out, but its a gun stand so no biggie. The plots are doing great. I noticed they are hitting the brassicas a little already.Cant wait for season to start. -
I stopped the week before last but they hadnt opened yet. My daughter went the other day and said it was cool. Im gonna stop in wednesday when im out there.
